Sarge's costume design

Local ad. Waited for a weekend that worked for both of us. I learned a lot. She found it a bit weird. Kept asking what the shoot was for and where the images were going. I told her mostly to get some good shots for eBay and when I sell the costume online. We did some other shots of her changing costume. A lot of green screen. A lot of another backdrop.

Just had a good time. She was happy for the $.

Murphy's law was alive and healthy. Burned out a big CFL bulb and nearly set off my smoke alarm. Smelled a bit like burned plastic. So lost some lighting. Didn't have a good command of the DSLR and had shadowing. And the camera would beep but not shoot a lot. Frustrated us both. She would pose, hear the focus beep, then no shutter. Happened in fully automatic mode and aperture priority setting. Was trying for some depth of field effects. Not very successful. May have had to do with the telephoto lens at 6' distance. I don't know. Need to get educated. Needed longer extension cords. And she showed an hour early and threw me off. I was nervous. Bumbled some of my checklist. She rolled with it. I asked if the costume would interest her for Halloween. She said yes. It was great quality and fit well. Asked which skirt. She said if she had black tights on the shorter one would rock. No freedom of movement in the short one without up skirt drama. But in the right crowd she would wear it without. She said 'I am young and may as well use it if I have it'. I wiped up my drool and soldiered on. May try my hands at editing some. If someone wants a full sample to play with send me a PM. I am picky. I will not be dumping these to a shared site for the time being. Had a restless night of sleep. I find intense things like this or playing a computer game re wire my brain for 24 hours. Deprogramming at work now.

Can you post at least one pic with the short skirt?

Strictly for scientific comparison reasons only.

I don't know if Sarge's outfit has a leotard type sewn-in bottom, but I suspect it does. If so, the skirt is an optional fashion accessory and can't be too short.

It's purely a tease and never revealing. So if a girl's got the legs for it (which means young and lean), then why not.

Examples from the PG-rated comics of past years... clearly her leotard bottom preserves her modesty as the skirt got shorter and shorter until it was little more than an accessory, and not functional for its original purpose.

And we are talking about a character who can fly here, and who presumably lands on her feet with skirt up around her waist every time. Comes with the character.

It is not a leotard design. It will allow for different torso lengths this way. She may have not been wearing panties. I didn't ask/check. Would have been rude.

I thought it was awesome. And I will be ordering these short versions for more scientific research. But when I attempt to sell on ebay or Craigslist or to you fellow travelers here on SWM a longer version is going to sell more easily.
The short skirt was 11.5" actually. The longer version was 16". I am going with 14" for a standard size in small. 15" for medium.

In the name of SCIENCE.

I am working on sorting, collating, and stapling. Would love to get her back and just do the short skirt. Dammit, now I won't sleep much again tonight. Still need to get educated on my camera.

Enjoy folks. Ideas, encouragement, stories, manips are appreciated. I will release full size images in a shared drive. Give me some time please. I love to give here.

Shadar, yes those were good times. That skirt was so physically impossible in all her activity. But it sold so many comics on that basis alone.

That pic is just AWESOME
She looks so fierce!
Thank you.
We have made advances in the field of science today.

She looks pretty comfortable in that last pic.
I know women that wear shorts under miniskirts.
Now that your model is familiar with you and the costume maybe she can bring some shorts or sheer tights to wear next time.
I believe the CBS suits asked for dark tights for the Supergirl show.

Couple of warmup images. Would love someone to do some manipulations and editing of the green screen background shots I did.

Made my final payment to the vendor. Costume order underway and shipping in two days.

Keeping a few. Selling the rest. Discounts if you PM me to reserve one. Size small and medium. Mostly small.

The model was 5'6", physically fit, B/C cup and gorgeous. She wore a small. Fabric has some stretch.

$75 each to SWM buyers. Plus actual shipping costs to you.

Going to try for $110 on eBay.

That's a very-very fair price Sarge. Considering your costume looks nice people should know you're looking at least twice that price for a semi-quality effort. Three times that for a really good custom sized effort that a seamstress can use the patters for. Even more for a Mindy Marvel type costume.

I'm late to the show - but as far as capes go - Opera style works really well. (Over the shoulders tucked into the tunic, under the arms, tied behind the back.) Just don't allow them to use a stretchy fabric on the straps.

Thank you. I should have started earlier and not waited a day or two between answering the vendors questions and sending revisions. China had a big holiday and that put a few weeks delay into manufacturing and shipping. But I will end up with an extra costume and one extra super short skirt. Should ship by mid month now. And I now have to travel for work just before Halloween. Going to be tough to sell I'm afraid. But we shall see. Never go into a project unable to cope with the possible worst outcome. I think I will sell half by the end of the month.

Hope to read more of your work if not an update on what you are up to.

Vendor has said a 16 October ship date but told me they have to improve the leeching of the colors during wash. It will be a hand wash in cold water only operation. To be expected. Hope it doesn't delay much more.

Costumes are here! Delivered to work. No cute mail girl delivery I'm afraid. Had to go up front to sign for them.

PM me if you still want one. I have 3 sold already. Most of the rest will go up on eBay although I am cutting it extremely close for Halloween sales. And I travel next week.

Few sales right off the bat. Now slow. In hindsight I should have had these in hand a month ago for Halloween.
