Bear mace and an exploding can of blue paint would also be a nice touch.  

Sad to see it was enabled at least five times by my count.

That video was a hoot. What a cool way to freak out package thieves. Of course, I can fantasize that it contained an exploding dye packet like banks use to permanently mark stolen money and the thieves.

But as it is, this guy is skating close enough to a lawsuit to get in trouble. Pyrotechnics would cross the line. But still, it would be very cool. 

Reminds me of people who rig shotguns in their empty cabins to shoot those who break in to steal and trash the place. On one hand, the thieves deserve to be punished. On the other hand, nobody deserves to be shot.

Unless, of course, bullets bounce off. Which is one of the attractions of our piece of the fantasy universe.
