Terrible news for superheroes, superheroines, and all law abiding citizens

There will be no more of this in NYC.
Surely they could keep one Super Special telephone kiosk?

"The removal van for a 3000 mile trip? It's ok, I think I can handle that!"

I am looking out my window this very morning as the fog rises, and I can see an island in the Salish Sea where they made a very different decision -- they are keeping their phone booths in place and there are plenty of them. 

Maybe that explains the unusually low crime rate on the island.

Some even say they have been fortunate enough to glimpse someone in a brightly-colored costume emerging from those phone booths -- local scuttlebutt says a teenage girl with blond hair -- only to mysteriously vanish in a blink of an eye. But I shouldn't say more. Islanders like to keep their secrets.

No phone booth but Wonder Girl transforms next to a phone.  Maybe a cellphone today would provide the internet connection if that is needed for the transformation.
