Agreed... plus the 90's cape is generous enough that she can wrap it around herself to make her tiny skirt and skin-tight top a bit more modest, or for more formal settings. Then it looks more like a knee-length gown. You don't see the cape used that way a lot in the comics, but I always thought it was a great look.

Not to mention sexy given that capes, unlike gowns, don't stay closed very well. Any arm movement or motion of any kind opens it up. But then, I supposed I'm of an age where a hint or taste can sometimes be sexier than having everything on display. We humans, male or female, like a tease, even if its not intended as such.

Well, Jeffach did it again, I think that this might be the best Wonder Woman he has ever done. She might not look that super, but she's damn imposing.

Here's the original cover image from one of the Eros comics issues. No political correctness here. Love the look of surprise.

Surprised expressions were Ms. Adventure's speciality, never more so than in her origin page. I'll try to scan it if I can dig it out.

Those Penthouse comics were sort of a preview for what goes on here at SWM. The fact that they weren't mainstream hits shows what a niche fandom this can be. But Doc Dare, Ms Adventure, Hericane, and Scion? Happy memories!

Proof that robots don't understand people.

When will people realize that AI/Robotics is mankind's greatest future threat? Google is just the beginning of the evil to come.

(Said a bit tongue-in-cheek, but less so every year. Elon Musk woke me up when he stated the same. He's got some serious cred when it comes to envisioning the future -- given he's creating some of it. He's our flesh and blood Tony Stark.)

Thanks for posting those. Doc Dare's torpedo room TF and launch were laugh out loud funny. That magazine was really quite witty for the first year or so.

The beautiful alien landed in the street, dressed in the same bit of nothing she'd worn while trashing the White House. The Army was ready for her this time. An Abrams tank zeroed in on her from 735 meters, crosshairs over her chest, a sabot round in the chamber.

Far from appearing frightened by the tank-piercing depleted-uranium penetrator that was about to hit her at hypersonic speed, she smiled suggestively as she undid the button holding her top in place. The tank commander paused for the briefest moment, shocked by her confidence, eyes devouring her perfect body as her top fell to the street. The brief pause was all she needed. She disappeared as if by magic from his viewfinder.

He switched to his acquisition sight as he swung the turret wildly, trying to reacquire her, only to be slammed down in his seat when his tank suddenly grew wings. Staring wide-eyed in his scope, he saw the tops of the buildings fall away beneath him as his tank climbed at many thousands of feet per minute.

He slammed down the NBC filters, hoping to preserve the air pressure in the tank as they rose faster and faster. Despite that, the air grew thin. The last thing he saw before passing out was a purple-black sky and the curvature of the Earth below -- and all the stars shining at mid-day.

Warning: Spoiler!

To continue...

Freya stood atop the Icelandic Hall of the Valkyries as she listened to the crackle of the earpiece. An American Abrams tank, deorbiting with predicted impact in the north of London. That made no sense -- how did an Abrams get into orbit in the first place? At 70 tons, they don't exactly fly well.

She gave the always-present photographers a quick pose and then leaped into the sky, flying upward and southward to meet the massive tank, which reportedly was descending at Mach 10. She streamlined her body into a kinetic weapon as she strove to hit the descending tank at her top speed, hoping the Mach 20+ collision would explode it into small enough pieces to fall harmlessly into the cold Atlantic below.

Her father Odin's blood flowed confidently in her veins, as did the blood of her namesake goddess-mother Frejya, making her the most powerful being who could claim her birthright on planet Earth. She saw the tiny spec trailing flame in the distance as it came right at her. She focused her gaze on it as extended her arms, hands in fists, squeezing her long legs together as she strained to fly faster, determined to blast it from the sky with the mass of her body alone.

Far below, bobbing on the big waves as they headed to the fishing banks, the crew of a Icelandic fishing boat looked upward as the biggest firework they'd ever seen exploded miles wide over their heads. Long seconds later, the colossal BOOM of the shockwave knocked them off their feet. Moments later, a glowing figure appeared, a woman with billowing blonde hair and no trace of clothing.

The men began to cheer. It's a rare and special day when the descendants of Vikings get to see a Valkyrie in the flesh. Least of all to have her land on the bow of their boat, luxuriating in the cold wind and freezing spray as it cooled her glowing skin, a goddess blessing them with her presence.

All hail Odin and his daughters...

I won't mention the name of the global engineering company I work for, but a colleague has remarked it is only a matter of time before J***** is stamped on the back of the neck of every terminator robot known to humankind.

Given I mentioned Natasha Henstridge (Species) in the Harley/Margot thread, I thought I'd post a pict of her in her prime. Interestingly, her genes come from a mix of northern Europe and Canadian First Nation (grandparents on one side are First Nations). At 5'10" (1.8m) she's the perfect height.

First as herself:

And the second as Sil from the movie (albeit without the alien features):

I always loved this scene from Superman II with Ursula. I think it must have been my first encounter with a super-powered female on the big screen:

From the pencil of silver age artist Jim Mooney a meeting between two Danvers (although I think that having the switched would be more correct for some reason).
