Super Cher Noble could use your opinion

Hello Natasha and welcome. Super Cher Noble all the way!

This seems like a really cool project and hope your able to complete it quickly for an episode one. My hope with the series is we see an alter ego along with the Superheroine side of her. How she hides on the streets of Ukraine (if your setting it there) and uses her cape to transform into her. With her having to recharge, That could be a way to put a human side to the Superhuman.

There's a short documentary featuring Abby, our costumer, titled "Cape & Cowl - A Cosplay Documentary Short Film". All of the costumes in there are her work. I love the part about how transformative people feel it is about wearing their costumes. I like that they feel strong.



As an actress you do transform yourself for a role. The costumes are a strong visualization of the change, which makes it even easier.

The costume got made…and we don’t love it. We went through several fittings over several weeks. It just never got ‘super’. We did go to one pre comic con event in it and had a good time. Abby was still making adjustments to later than the very last second. Here’s some pics to see what actually is rather than me jabbering about it.

I can’t shoot that. The seams are lumpy. And just plain off. The boot tips are off center. The gauntlets are just velcroed and flimsy. The cape is backwards compared to the sketch. The puffy material widens the waist and the cut minimizes the bust. And the material looks like jammies. At least that’s how Natasha and I see it. Abby was so stoked about how great it was going to be I let her go for it.

We got it on July 2. Actually we were too bummed out to post here about it. But life moves on. We still need a costume.

And since we’re back at the starting gate, we’re rethinking the design. I was totally vested in the look we came up with. After seeing it though we’re both in favor of getting something that looks great, not only on a sketch but on the real live Natasha.

Natasha pulled together a Wonder Woman costume for Comic Con. Although we’d planned on promenading her as Super Cher Noble, we roamed around and took a lot of pics with folks. Here’s her WW costume.

Thank you all for following along. It’s a project we’re really into.

We’re behind schedule shooting due to not having the costume. But, we’ve boo hoo’d a little and picked ourselves up and started putting together some new ideas for the next Super Cher Noble design. And we’re on the lookout for a costumer, too.

This looks okay-part of the issue with any superhero costume is-pick your angles. work the lighting, in the bottom picture in particular i think it looks rather nice actually in part-the boots do look good from my point of view(that being a photgraph)) as do the sleeves and the shoulder piece. they actually look pretty great. everything that shinny has a nice luster to it.

Part of the issue i think with this design as the classic "Hey i am wearing a body suit and a cape...often looks really silly in real life. Look at the suit in superman returns about 6 years ago to see an example of that-it s hard to make realistic-which is why Man of Steel went really far in another direction(and still i think looks impressive, but not

As is you have fast swabs of more or less pure white down the center-which is tricky. You do have the obvious seam down the center which looks bad, but not sure the main body was going to look wait-do like the quilted center of it-like it a lot actually but it highlights how plain the center really is. They do minimize the bust...but the pure white does some of the same for it. she looks a bit like a gymnaist already.

And the Cape yeah-that looks bad. not sure how to fix it with the basic design. Look at man of steel and you will see a gigantic ass cloak of one.

So not great effort-but i don't think a terrible one. i think you could work with this, but understand if you don't want to and there elments that may work quite well-but yeah you need work here, and may want to go for the drawing board.

An obvious question:

What kind of movie are you making? What kind of character is Super Cher? I think a lot of it depends on that.

Recently some of my friends where working on a Batman Fan film: Which looks pretty terrible. I mean horrible, with a costume a lot lot worse then this. The problem was-well they damm putt it in the light-with a costume that doesn't really work well in the light it looked cheep and rather silly actually.....and but i bet iff they used the ones in the nolan movies they would have gotten the same effect. How do you want to position this.

I don't think the basic idea of the costume is that bad.

Never liked the shoulder pad from the first, you can lose it.
Notice how in both pictures Natasha tilts her head to emphasize a clunky, unnecessary bump on her shoulder.
In her Wonder Woman pictures she looks much more relaxed and natural.

Try some accessories like a corset maybe to tighten the waist and enhance the bust line.

Keep the asymmetrical cape, maybe a different color.

Cape seems to look faded in color...Maybe a different (a little darker) shade of blue? Not sure about the rest of the costume. While I admit that Natasha would look amazing in anything, I'm sure the costume can be improved.

While I personally like this color scheme, it indeed doesn't feel "super". Wish I had the inspiration to cook up something with the Fabrica de Herois. Natasha looks fabulous though

I like the boots and the front arm covering combination. In my opinion I would skip most of the non symmetrical look and just tighten everything up. Either both legs more exposed or both like her right leg is now.

I think it looks pretty good. I would like to see it in a front on, fists on hips power pose with her hair down her back so that we can see the left shoulder. Remember, the whole asymmetric thing was done to seperate her from all the other super gals out there.
