Looking to brainstorm

Hey guys. I've got a novel I've been working on for a couple years now (almost done, woohoo!) but sometimes I just want to take a break from a huge project like that and work on something a bit more satisfying in the short term. So I've been thinking about writing a story for here.

Sadly, I'm a little short on ideas currently. I saw an older topic about creating an idea pool, but as far as I could tell nothing really came of it, so I'll ask. Is there anything you've been wanting to see in a story? If you're a writer yourself, maybe it's an idea you've never had time for or couldn't quite get to work how you wanted. Or maybe it's just a story you've always wanted to read without having to write it yourself.

I'll see what I can come up with myself, of course, but I'm curious what anyone else thinks.

I'll repeat what I've proposed in the thread you reffered..

I'd love to read a story which implied girl/girl jealousy and/or unfairness !

For exemple a family with two sisters and one of them (the younger) is gaining superpowers coupled with godlike sexiness..

Eventually the same scenario with two girl friends..

The one with all the luck can be bitchy with thé other or rather simpathetic.

Hope you'll find the inspiration

That's a really good point. Sounds like a plan, then. Who knows, maybe I'll think of something by the time the DNS changes.

Maybe one develops the godlike powers, and the other develops the godlike sexiness, and they have to deal with that: normal-looking sister saves the world, but the world assumes that the beautiful one did it!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I've got a couple of ideas now and I'm about 500 words into my first piece. We'll see how it goes!

Just wanted to loop back to this. I'm still working on it - unfortunately, it's likely going to be a couple more weeks, due to obligations to my other writing and my real-life job keeping me busy. Still, I think you'll enjoy what I"ve got once I loop back to it.

Take your time. I'm sure its gong to be a great story, but let it come naturally.
