Proposed SWM "Virtual Convention" (mass chat) was created by admin

Hi everyone!

To celebrate the "Holiday Season", we were thinking about holding a "virtual" convention for all SWM members. This would take place in the SuperWomenMania ChatRoom (see link at top of this page). Obviously, the more members who could participate, the better, so if you're interested in taking part, please reply to this post stating the date and time range (plus time zone!!) that would be best for you.

We'll cover the costs of hiring the venue (hehe) but members will have to provide their own food and drink...

If enough people respond, we'll try and find the day and time that suits the majority...

To start the ball rolling, what do folks think about this proposed date/time:

Tue 26th Dec 2006 11pm EST - Wed 27th Dec 3am EST ( = Wed 27th Dec 2006 4am - 8am GMT) ?

I'm definitely interested. I think it would be fun. Finding a time would be hard though. I'm usually home and available between 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. Central on most workdays (i.e. M-F non holidays).

But don't worry about me. Just pick a time and I'll try to make it whenever it is.

Sounds good. I doubt if we'll get as many people on a Tuesday night, though. Being in EST, that's late for me, since I have to work the next day. I could probably make it, but I wouldn't be able to stay past about midnight EST.

Weekends might be better, though I'm guessing most people have plans Christmas weekend. So how about Saturday December 30? If we start around noon EST, it'll be morning in California and late afternoon / early evening for those in Europe.

I'm definitely interested. Dec 30th is a much better date for me; I'll be out of town on the 26th cuz of the holiday, and I suspect a lot of other people will be busy that day too.

I'll try and make it no matter what date or time. Pick something reasonable. You can't please everyone so someone is going to have to just pour the cement and let it set.

I'll try to make it but my work schedule changes week to week, so I realy can't pick a date and time and say that will be the best , But I'll at least try to put in an apperance to appese all my Grayface-a-holics!

Weekday nights better for me as well....I think its a great idea admin! In terms of dates, will be traveling after the holidays but will try to make it whenever it is planned....

Sounds like fun. Pick a four-hour "window of opportunity" between Christmas and New Year's and I should be able to join in.

You can't please all the people all the time, so hopefully this will please as many as possible!

Our Holiday Season/End of Year Virtual Meet will start at:

There's no fixed "chucking out" time. Hopefully, the session will run for quite a few hours, so don't worry if you can't make the start.

It'll be great to see everybody there!

would love to chat tonight folks but santa gave me the flu (irish word for generic head cold) cos i overdid the socialising part of xmas and spent too much time drinking out of wet glasses :wink:

4.30 am would be a no-no as allsleep is now vital before the return to WORK (dun duh dun dun duuuunnnnn) on the day after new years
