This is a thread to discuss the blog posting, "In the thick of the action", suggesting the idea of creating immersive 3D scenes using heroines.
Ideas I've had:
- Placing the viewer in-between two battling characters.
- Getting up close as a heroine saves a plane.
- Heroines zooming overhead, racing towards a disaster in the distance.
Feel free to suggest your own scenarios. I'm no 3D expert (as you can tell), but I'm hoping people on here who know their way around a CAD application will be inspired by the suggestions.
For curious souls, this is what the demo image I used looks like in its regular flattened form (non 3D.) The spherical viewers simply take this flat image and map it inside a ball to create the 360 effect.
