Some nice work here! Cassie (Wondergirl) gets a good amount of screentime as well:

nice. Know a couple of the people involved and its done well. Nice Special effects, and locations and the performances felt heart felt. Could have used a little more action and maybe a touch of humor, but it was well done and i liked it.

Well that was pretty grim.

I lasted about two and a half minutes.

What ever happened to having fun at the movies?

I can see what your saying

Particularly since the Teen Titans in both comics and cartoons is DCs lighter vaugely marvel style title. It has its share of "Teen" angst but also humor wit, and charm. There is a little of that as it goes towards the end, but yeah i can see where your saying.

It also does what movies are poor at- I kind of know what there going for characterwise, but it also did a poor example of creating characters and personalities. Say what you want about superhero movies-even not very good stuff, is good at setting up characters who they are what they want, etc-its agian not always good but its present. And Opening on a death scene is also never good idea it sets it up as serious-but well who is this person who means so much to the characters. All we do know is that they are varations of despairing sad and angry-and thats not much of a character.

That said it does have heart-and that is worth something. I can admire something like this.

Seems like even in Fan films the DC stuff is depressing and the Marvel stuff is fun and light hearted.

That's hardly a universal, or even long term trend, though. I remember some of the goofiest mainstream comics ever from DC during the proliferation of Justice Leagues, and a lot of the Marvel stuff has been downright grim. Age of Apocalypse says "Hi!" I haven't read many comics in the past few years, though, so you might be right about the current trends.
