Pretty nice work here. Skip to 4:15 for the actual battle (its a good one):

Cyclops totally set up Wolverine to get his ass kicked!

That was awesome, and exactly how it would go.

I watched a lot of those shorts and they're usually pretty damn good, although I hate the fact that they always play Wolverine more like a high-school jerk than. Even that the video was pretty damn good.

Good video. I was half expecting Wolverine to jump out of the lava at the end and continue the fight. Glad WW won.

Bat in the Sun will release an alternate ending in a few weeks. I had a feeling WW would win. I 've seen every Beat Down Bat In the Sun has produced, and Wonder woman vs Wolverine was one of the most brutal they've done so far.

I mostly expected a Terminator style ending with the claw poking out of the lava.

((shrug)) it gets about -5000 points for giving Wonder Woman random/cockamamie powers - she's never had super reaction speed and clanging her bracers for a giant shockwave has exactly one example I know of and that's the shitburger movie that shall not be named.

At the end of the day I'd have to give that fight to Wolverine. Every hit he scores is a telling, lasting piece of damage, and every hit she scores is a footnote. I'd write as a slow grueling beat down but in the end his powerset beats hers. I thought the uncuttable rope was iffy, but ok (some serious questions of immovable object/irresistible force there). Asking him why he won't die was probably the highlight of the whole match :). Second best thing being her almost always managing to block and deflect him (again, because hits on her matter, and hits on him don't). The inclusion of lava levels the field a bit, but it also goes a long way towards saying "I can't beat you, I have to have the scenery do it for me."

I'm expecting the alternate ending to have to do a lot less reaching for its happy ending. We'll see though.

I'm 100% certain Wonder Woman has always had superhuman reaction/reflexes. Kind goes hand in hand with being able deflect bullets. Wolverine is not as fast as a bullet.

In a world where Wonder Woman can keep up with The Flash (Wonder Woman Annual) and Wolverine can still talk without a body (Hulk vs Wolverine) these fights are just silly fun

And here we can why I always consider WW a hard character to use in any for of media: because her powers are so damn hard to pin down that nobody is really sure about how to handle them. While I agree that the whole shockwave from the bracers thing made me pause for a moment, I wasn't bothered by the whole sped thing, given that WW has always been able to block supersonic attacks (i.e. bullets) even when she wasn't looking and the post-crisis version was shown to be able to run or fly as fast as Jesse Quick.

And yet she has -FIGHTS- with people. She brawls with people who don't have super reaction speed all the time. When a melee powerhouse has super reaction speed, there's NO DRAMA WHATSOEVER. Since her comics are filled with fights that aren't over 6 seconds before they start, she doesn't (and can't) have super reflexes. Yeah, there's some sort of gun-kata at work that she can block bullets, but it's never applied to her attacks.

The video's a hodge-podge of fx for a character that's a really skilled, really strong fighter who can fly. You don't have to add FX just because you can and it, and it would have been a better video for its absence. Like I said, I really enjoyed her blocking pretty much everything when they were in a straight up tussle. That was impressive, because while Logan's an experienced and deadly in-fighter, I've got no problem saying "yeah, but she's BETTER". The blur-o-vision was straight up "WTF?" to me ;).

Well, the punch line is still coming :). And the voting was split mighty fine, so more to come.

Thanks for sharing, great vid.

On a side note, I really love Tatiana DeKhtyar as WW. She's certainly got the look and if she'd hit the gym a couple of days a week, she'd pretty soon have the build, too.

There is nothing wrong with what you said, except Superman does the exact same thing. He brawls with people w/o super speed, yet he clearly has super speed (and super reaction speed) he's just not using it.

This is just one of those comic things that don't make any sense, except that they must be able to keep themselves in "normal time" and only speed up as they want/need. Superman rarely fights with superspeed and Wonder Woman almost never does. I do vaguely recall her fighting people with super speed and keeping up so she CAN do it.

The problem with so many comic books and movies, videos, etc is that they really don't craft the villains and situations in ways that present a challenge to Level 1 characters like Kryptonians and WW. So they wind up depowering them to make a fight out of it, like taking away super-speed and super-reflexes whenever it's appropriate. Or if all else fails, toss in a bunch of Kryptonite or whatever.

The fundamental problem is they have made their characters too powerful. Superman can move moons (or at least lift mountains), which is stupid beyond belief on about ten levels. But now that they've done that, they can't fix the mess. So many editors and writers have been involved over the years.

The thing that it unforgivable to me is that they've reinvented these characters over and over and they still can't come up with a consistent and stable set of rules. Even worse, the owners of the characters don't insist that the creative teams they license them to stay within a character's defined boundaries. The copyright holder should be able to define and enforce that, but they don't.

The result is that we all have our own (and often different) ideas about what they can do, so it's unlikely that any movie, video or story is going to do it right in our eyes. The only path to maintain sanity in the face of this is to enjoy every depiction for what it is and not sweat the details.

In that regard, I enjoyed this video. Tatiana is a very interesting actor, with a face and eyes and expressions that are the best I've seen for the WW role. As Rebel4life said, if she went into the kind of intensive physical training that Gal Gadot went through, she'd be an outstanding actress for any WW role. At least to my eyes.

But Cosplayer doesn't equal Actress in the eyes of studios that make bazillion dollar movies.
