The 60's had popped the cork on pop culture, and it wasn't until much later that political correctness tried to put things back in the bottle and screw the lid down tight.
In between, the 70's was a time when you were able to just have fun without worrying about insulting anyone.
Compare this to the Wonder Woman TV pilot that made the rounds about ten years ago.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Woman_(2011_TV_pilot)
They kind of lost the thread of what makes WW great, which the 70's show got right, and the later movies got kind of half right. And yes, Adrianne Palicki is an interesting actress for such roles, but the writing was way off. And as hot as Adrianne can be in superhero roles, she's no Lynda Carter.

Personally, Adrianne Palicki was great as Wonder Woman. The pilot certainly wasn't bad because of her imo.
A shame she never got to play the role properly, as I think she would have made an awesome Wonder Woman.
Sure, she isn't Lynda Carter, but she would have been a hell of a lot better then Gal Gadot. Not only is Palicki hot, she can actually emote, say lines and actually act.
And for those that have not seen the pilot (I am sure everyone here has by now), she actually wore the SWIMSUIT version of the costume. And looked great in it.
Just my 2 cents as always
Peace.

Perhaps this is what happens when Diana Prince performs an explosive reverse spin transformation...

Goes to show, even with the colors reversed, Lynda still looked hot as hell

Bewildered, she is thinking to herself 'Are there other women out there, with powers just like I have?'

She is Truly Amazing!
(E.T.A. Look out @ 9.22 when she destroys those guys, and after that, well all of it, is definitely worth watching).
To turn herself from 'Plain Jane with Glasses', as an undercover operative Diana Prince, into the embodiment of physical beauty and power is definitely something special!

At the time (the 80's) I didn't take as much notice but Linda Carter just has a timeless beauty and poise that I hope can be matched but just can't be beat. I must be getting old(er).
As far as Shadar plugging for the 70's: It's hard to argue against the 70's being peak fun TV even if TJ Hooker was in the 80's.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's, we had Wonder Woman, The Bionic Woman, even Charlie's Angels which was great to watch!
Television nowadays has become very p.c. enforced, a bit boring, unlike the good old days...

At 3:32 / 3:33 in the clip, the poor guy can't help himself! (and rightly so).Becoming from a young islander in an almost deserted Paradise Island in our world, to a true Amazon with Power and Beauty (almost in disguise with her glasses), Diana Prince has Wonderful Powers beyond belief.

He is thinking 'You have just ripped my rifle apart with your bare hands, but I have never ever been this close to gawping at the most amazing pair of Wonder Boobs on such a slim figure!' He is even smiling as he stares down!
Lynda, meanwhile is thinking to herself 'Jeez man, can you just concentrate on your acting abilities for a minute?'
His response is 'I think we need to run another take here'
E.T.A. The guy is even smiling as Wonder Woman leads him away to custody!

I almost forgot, Catherine Bach as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard in the 70's and 80's era. In an interview on a talk show back in the day, Lynda Carter described how she was up against some hot competition to win the leading role as Wonder Woman.Yes, Lynda Carter, especially Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman will not be matched.

I am pretty certain that Catherine Bach will have been the hot competition for Lynda in her Wonder Woman role.

What is the likelihood Lynda's daughter, Jessica will follow her mum and step into Wonder Woman's boots?
There is definitely something passed along in the genes!

For serious, hot competition for the role of Wonder Woman, as well as Catherine Bach, surely Erin Gray would have been in contention as a forerunner for the role handed to the lovely Lynda in the late 70' and early 80's. I think Erin will have been pre-occupied with playing Superhot Wilma as the YT title suggests...Catherine Bach and Lynda Carter. Ah, what a dream team

For sure. Erin Gray certainly fits in with that company
And yup, Lynda Carter's daughter Jessica is amazing looking. Def takes after her mum
To round it off, for those that may not know, Lynda is (or technically was) also married to a billionaire.
Her husband (2nd) was Robert A. Altman, founder of gaming company ZeniMax (parent company of Bethesda). Microsoft bought ZeniMax for $7.5 billion this year. Her husband served as CEO and Chairman up until his death earlier this year
Peace.
