Spring Workshop extension was created by fats
hi all,

Due to the number of pm's i'v recived about the workshop a number of requests have been made to increase the deadline. I was not going to move the deadline but after we have only recived 3 entries for the workshop i've decided to extend it by one week, this will allow users to get a story in and if the 3 who submitted their story to edit or add to them.

So the new deadline will be Friday 9th August 2013 at 12 noon (UK time)

Let's hope that we can see some excellent new stories and I hope that this will be a excellent workshop.

Sadly this won't be enough for my entry. I simply won't be able to finish it and probably never will. I'm still somewhat happy with the scenes I've written and I hope I can re-use them in later stories.

Too bad to hear that, your ideas for the story sounded quite interesting and I hope you finish the story nonetheless.

sorry to all members who where expecting the workshop yesterday, I'm pleased to announce that there are 4 stories for the workshop, but I'm also sorry that it will be Sunday when I will be launching the workshop. last night I was t-boned by a drunk driver and I had to spend the night in A & E I've broken my humerus and have suffered a bruised back and neck so it's difficult to type at the moment, and I'm still seeing double, docs have said that this is normal, and the headaches will disappear over night so again sorry for the delay.

A few years ago a drunk driver killed one of my closest friends. I don't like drunk drivers.

I'm pleased you're still with us, Fats.

I just had a good idea for the next workshop theme: 'superheroine goes over-the-top punishing drunk driver for injuring her friend.'

Glad you will be ok, sorry to hear about the accident. Teenage DUI is how my first GF died. There is always other option than DUI.

Thank you all for your kind words, the police where around to see me yesterday and it turns out the driver had stolen the range rover, was 8.5 times over the legal limit here in the UK, had many small bags of cocaine and had no driving licence and was uninsured as well, the car I was in has been written off by my insurance i only had the car for just over 5 months, the police had said that if I had been hit on the drivers side rather than the passengers side I would not be here as he hit me at around 120Kph (about 75 mph), he was so drunk he never put the brakes on.

To dru and raa, I know exactly how you feel I lost my wife in a hit and run earlier this year, the police asked if I wanted to prosecute, i told them under no uncertain terms i would.

Sorry to hear what happened to your wife fats. My condolences. Hope the person who hit and run your wife will be captured and will be persecuted and jailed for what he/ she has done.

May also the driver that hit you be jailed for a long time so he can't harm more innocent people.

Hope you get well soon fats. At least you are still alive and here with us Fats. Have a speedy recovery ahead of you fats.
