Winter Workshop 2016 - results

Can't complain. I was trying to please two different readerships. That sort of approach rarely if ever works.

Thanks to everyone who provided their complements/criticism on my entry and a bigger thanks to those who voted. When I write something it's really for me and what I want to see. So if anyone else enjoys it, that's a bonus.

I'm not surprised my little scene scraped in last in a strong field. I would be surprised if I got a single vote. Heh.

I have to say my little story did much better than I expected it to do. I thought all the other stories were much better.

I was really impressed by the number of full fledged stories in the contest. some that will have additional parts too. A great showing overall.

I really did appreciate the comments on my story in the main thread. I'm still new at writing and I found all the comments from people who are much better at this sort of thing to be quite helpful. I'm going to TRY to write more this year. I was supposed to last year, but it never really happened. I'm going to have to put more focus into it, and make sure that I write regularly. I really did like the contest as it made me write something, and I'd not written anything in months.

I never got around to posting my comments on the other stories -- though I think the comments from others pretty much covered the ground well.

Congrats to D_k_c for the win.

Costume shipped yesterday. Shipping and taxes were not pretty.

Thanks Sarge - Cant wait to put it on and try it out for size - Once that image is removed from your head, I can tell you definitively that I'm messing with you.

BUT - My fiancé was shown the costume - and she said she'd consider wearing it. She has been watching SG, but has no idea that I write stories for SWM. So when it arrives, ill tell her I bought it for her. See if she goes for it. If she does, ill sneak a pic of it on here for you guys.

She's a small girl, so we'll see if it fits.

Also - I mentioned to Sarge that I'd like to have a prize for the next WS. Ill talk with Fats about ideas and how much money it will cost. And ill put the money in for the next prize. That being said, I think its fair to say - Ill disqualify myself from the next competition

OK, I'm not sure if the problem is with the site or on my end, but I cannot find the tied-for-second story Amanda by Hdmk2. It's just flat not there when I check in the library workshop section.

Did the author ask for it not to be retained here? Or is my web browser screwed up? Or have I found a glitch?

Honestly the story was significantly better after you gave it and edit. It definitely had a much better flow.

Well, costume arrived. Not allowed to throw out the full pic....But at least this gives an indication of what it looks like.

Great quality, and the Mrs says she'll wear it for Halloween.
