Let's hope next week levels out otherwise I'm really going to be worrying about how long this will last.
In the meantime I'm going to make sure I enjoy all the episodes (which I have loved so far)

The show was not shown in San Diego due to the Bears-Chargers game. At the end of November, the networks see the results of DVR recordings. Genre shows tend to well via DVR.

It got an 1.7 in the 18-49 demo, but I don't think the total amount of actual viewers has declined. Most CBS, if not all CBS dramas tend to attract older viewers.

I'm thinking (hoping) that when Gotham goes on its winter hiatus schedule, Supergirl will pick up some of its numbers and maybe get people to switch over in the Spring. I'll watch Supergirl over Gotham any day, but in its defense, Gotham is actually pretty good this season IMO -- a vast improvement from last year!

Do you know if the DVR results include VOD services like iTunes, Amazon, etc? How about DirecTV and Dish or just selected cable box DVRs.

The market is pretty diverse and I wonder if the reporting has kept up.

Hopefully this will allay some people's fear of cancellation due to the dipping ratings numbers:

Though, to be fair, I would hazard a guess that the budget of Supergirl is the highest so its "margin of error" is a little slimmer than some of its peers.....

Credit to supergirl.tv for this story:

Supergirl L+3 Ratings

I don't really know how ratings work but a 3+ million jump in ratings sounds good.
