Certainly compared to some of the other CW shows.I'm watching a re-cap of recent seasons and episodes of Supergirl. (Working from home has it's advantages

I just noticed there are way too many people flying about. Sure, if you are Kryptonian like Kara and her cousin you have that unique, amazing ability, the special power, that edge, but the scriptwriters just seem to be running rough-shod over that.
It is only the ability to fly after all.
Any thoughts?

Now THAT'S my kind of movie. Lady Jessica of the Atreides was handled quite well. A Bene Gesserit concubine who is also a supreme warrior, which few realize until it's too late, and as Paul's mother, one hell of a mentor and teacher.

Agreed. People here are talking about the first two seasons being good, and I'm wondering if they watched the same show that I did. I watched the whole first season and beginning of season 2, just hoping it would begin to live up to its potential, but it just never did. I gave up on it before it even got to the parts that other people are saying were the downturn. It was the poor writing in general that bother me, and even more the lost possibilities for properly exploiting the opportunities to portray a Kryptonian female on Earth -- now that bugs the heck out of me. Melissa could have been wonderful at portraying a deep-dive into the joys and challenges of being a Kryptonian living among humans. To revel in her powers and what she could do with them. The ways she could make a real difference.
I don't think that has to be so-called "SWM porn", but simply getting closer to the comics.
Anyway, I decided the series was a muddled mess and a huge missed opportunity after Season 1, specifically in that it failed to properly explore my favorite character in a way that made sense to me. But a lot of that is probably my peculiar ideas of what SG could/should be.

The writing in the first season was poor, but livable because the stories tended to be focused on the titular character and there was action and suspense. Seasons two and three started moving the focus off of Supergirl, which sucked.
