Athletic and Super

Speaking of preferred physiques...

Athletic and super... right down to the slumping, melting wrought iron. I guess when you're bored...??

This is what Kara SHOULD look like in the comics... this is the 21st century, after all, and she should be her twenties and wickedly fit, not an anorexic fifteen forever.

Caution: NSFW!!

So that's athletic? You see to me, she looks kind of on the muscular side, at least her legs. If by "athletic" you mean "busty", then she's definitely athletic. :) When I think of an athletic build, beach volleyball players come to mind. I would describe the way Supergirl is portrayed in the comics as athletic. I guess a lot of this is a matter of opinion.

I love your model Shadar : she's y vision of an athletic Superwoman. For my point if view, she's a little bit thin. She's got boobs but I would prefer her with bigger thigh. A Superwoman can be athletic and curvy.
The best example is Jamie Koeppe (if she would have a bigger breast).

I like that girl, Artnico. I like your pic too Shadar, I forgot to mention that in my earlier post.

The thing about labels, like Athletic or Muscular is that one's mileage varies.

Here's another Velorian pict that I'd call Athletic, but mileage will vary here as well. To me, she's got the legs to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Or perhaps, this one (model from the soon to be released Part 2 of Hard and Soft story): Caution: NSFW

She's got a pretty athletic grip, although that might not have been the first thing you noticed.

On the other hand, when I think muscular, I'm thinking more along these lines:

Who not only is outrageously muscular, but happens to be shrugging off some kind of Phaser attack (I do like to illustrate my stories):

Clearly, my definition of Muscular is very different than merely Athletic. Its not just the muscle, but definition and leanness that pushes the label one way or another.

Thanks for the response and the pix. Yes I see what you mean. I posted on the other thread that I understand the term better now. After seeing the girl in Artnico's post the idea of what "athletic" means became clearer. And then I looked at your pic again, and I don't consider her muscular anymore. And I think this woman would be considered muscular by any definition of the word.

It's not a phaser - it's a beam designed to cause muscle growth and strength increase in women. There was nothing of her before she stood in front of it, but now...

By the way, the muscular model's name is Anja Langer from Germany, and that "Phaser beam" (or rather, strength enhancement beam -- cute!) picture was taken when she was at her peakwhen she unexpectedly discovered she was pregnant. She stopped modeling and competing.

Here's a picture of her 10 years later after having those kids. She's still strong and quite handsome in a very German way.

And she can probably still bend steel in her bare hands. Some kind of SuperMomma.
