Seems the WW#2 sequel is coming six weeks earlier than originally announced -- but still nearly a year and half away.

Other news (actually, strong rumor) that it will be set in the 1980's in America, with a Cold War adversary. .

There are other details in this article and some picts:

After I saw the scene in the movie where he was killed, my first thought was "bogus". He was too good of a character (and too good an actor with Chris Pine) with too much chemistry building with Diana to throw away.

But how to have him still be young nearly 70 years later will take some thinking.  Which I presume would be required to reignite the chemistry. But we're talking gods and demi-gods here. Anything is possible.

Personally I really liked Chris Pine in the film, and thought he carried the whole thing.

But on the subject of bringing him back for the sequal, yeah, there are a number of ways to do that imo.

If they DON'T bring him back, would be more a surprise to me then how they DO bring him back :D

Peace.

I too liked Chris Pine in the movie.
I thought he was the real hero of the story sacrificing his life to save countless others on both sides of the fighting while Wonder Woman was "Target Fixated"

In the Wonder Woman tv show they brought Steve Trevor into the present with the brilliant move of making him Steve Trevor jr.
Thus keeping the fan favorite actor and killing all romantic possibilities between Steve and Wonder Woman.
Diana Prince/ Wonder Woman was then free to interact and flirt with guest stars throughout the rest of the series.

I wish Supergirl was not tied down to a single guy every season and could have the same freedom Wonder Woman did back in the 70s
They did a few episodes early in season one of Supergirl where Cara/ Supergirl showed interest in other men.
Wynn and Cat Grant's son being a couple of examples.

Instead of a grandson, how about a clone?

WW could have had somebody find his remains, freeze them, and...

I don't think there was much of him left by the end of the film, if I remember right :)

Peace.

Whatever happened to Steve Trevor in WW#1, Chris Pine as Steve is back in WW#2 (per Patty Jenkins).  Given it's 1984 as opposed to 1918, it's either in a flashback or some god-level stuff was done to bring him intact into the future.

Fans want to see their romance continue, so my money is on the god-stuff, not a flashback.
