Long throw at Loughborough
Full of enthusiasm with her new role, and having fun as was her nature, she made a slight miscalculation and tossed the ball completely off the University grounds. It was last seen about 500 meters out and still rising.
That, of course, led to a lot of scrambling and deleting and explaining and other media and publicity nonsense, along with an explanation (completely untrue) from the University that the ball had an experimental propulsion system in it.
The reality was far stranger... and has opened a door that cannot be closed. Not that anyone believes a word of it. Except for those who do.

engineering school and also its advanced athletic curriculums. On this
particular day, a former American actress who now suddenly has some very
British connections was invited to join in an unscripted bit of fun --
basically to see who could toss a soccer ball the furthest. A strange
enough contest in a world of football.

Looks like a trait shared by her new sister-in-law. This photo taken shortly before
an incident that resulted in the destruction of a set of cricket stumps, two
walls and several cars!

Just a modern day vignette to tickle the imagination.
Occaisionally, my image-inspired vignettes expand into unfinished stories. But I have no plans for this one.

Unfortunately, I don't remember it. But then, I've probably forgotten far more than I remember.
