Heroineburgh Season 2 rolling update

We're beginning Season 2 of Heroineburgh very soon,..even as the final three episodes of Season 1 (EPs 11-13) get released in November.

First step: filming Episode 14's prison break scene in a couple weeks. 

Meet our new Mesmera - evil mistress of hypnotism - played by the wonderful Devon. With a background in theater and improv, she'll add some camp and pizzazz to the role. We'll begin filming the prison break scene including Mesmera to kick off activity on Season Two (EP 14). Can't wait to work with this excellent actress....Villains Vamoose!

Another great new actress joined the Heroineburgh team today.

We just finished another excellent costume fitting and photo shoot with the inventive Sydney, who will be playing the villainess Devorra the Queen Bee (who was first introduced in Episode 2, fighting Gardenia) in Season Two. 

She'll be involved in a 'prison break' scene we're going to film in a couple weeks to kick off work on Episode 14 (aka Season 2, Episode 1). All of the villains that were captured in Season One break free and cause havoc throughout the city, orchestrated by the mysterious cabal, Black Faction. It's going to be massive villainous chaos with lots of exciting displays of their evil powers!

Sydney is a veteran of theater productions, but this is her first time on film, so we can't wait to see what kind of charisma she brings to the role of the obsessive, powerful pollinator in Season Two of Heroineburgh. Here are some of the test shots!

We've got three more new actresses to introduce to you who will be portraying heroine and villainess roles in Season Two of Heroineburgh.

First up, meet the beautiful Nupur who will be taking over the character of Indian superheroine Arogya in Season 2 (she already makes a very brief in Season One in Episode 13). Dr. Marty Gupta is a geneticist at the University of Pittsburgh who gains the power to heal or harm biological tissue. Using her science lab, she discovers the genetic mechanism by which the superwomen of Pittsburgh are being transformed
via infusions of the dark meteor energy. The police and the authorities want her research badly!



Next we have Laura, who will be assuming the role of Jewish environmentalist heroine Gardenia in Season 2. Becky Bloom is a school teacher who gains the powers of the plant world and a sensitivity to nature. In the next season, she'll be fighting polluters and also battling anti-Semitism (which is much needed after the heartbreaking tragic shooting at the synagogue in our city). 



And most recently, the amazing Josalynn came on board to take over the role of violent villainess Vaporia. Vicki Vaughan is a vape shop proprietor who gains the power to turn all or part of her body into intangible smokey vapor. She is also the co-leader of the Black Faction with her husband, the corrupt Detective Drake, and the secret cabal will attempt to discredit the brave members of the Heroine League in order to sow chaos and mistrust in the city. 

Give a nice big Heroineburgh welcome to Mauricia, the amazing new actress who will portray Vendetta (the Italian spirit of vengeance) in Season Two.

She'll make her debut on Sun Dec 9 at  Steel City Con  and then appear in Episode 14, fighting alongside Poderosa and Red Gina with her escrima sticks. A two-episode arc is also planned for this strong, skilled combatant later in the season with dramatic Italian themes.

Watch Vendetta defend Bloomfield (Pittsburgh's Little Italy) and the city from corrupt criminals and supervillains..when she is confident in her mission, she cannot be defeated!

Episode 14, first installment of Heroineburgh Season Two, introduces a brand new villainess...meet Sintilla!

Cynthia Mantilla works a boring accounting job in a cubicle but has a fetishistic obsession to be a Bad Girl a la Eartha Kitt and Julie Newmar.
When she comes across a meteor fragment, she acquires superpowers that transform her into the super sexy Sintilla, the malevolent mistress of mischief and mayhem. Sintilla is portrayed by the incomparable burlesquer Lita D'Vargas, and her signature weapons are hardened rubber paddles with spikes. 

She'll make her live appearance debut on Sun Dec 9 at Steel City Con in Monroeville, PA, and then she'll appear in Episode 14, battling multiple heroines (probably Fianna and Arctica) with her unique skill of clairvoyant combat - she can see their moves a couple seconds in advance! She also has another special power which will be revealed in Episode 14.
