The unbearable lightness of trucks
I hope that everyone is still enjoying A common Weakness. I'm just putting the finishing touches to the next chapter and should get it submitted to the site by Friday. I apologise for the delay, I am working on another project, as well as having real life getting in the way, Stupid boring reality...
There was some discussion of feats of strength recently and the subject of superwomen effortlessly lifting trucks came up. It reminded me of a favourite concept scene of mine (though I may have borrowed elements from somewhere else, though I can't remember where) involving the lifting of a heavy goods vehicle by a nubile superheroine. As my story already features a blossoming ubergirl hiding out at a truckstop motel it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss...
Hope everyone enjoys,

I've been really behind on my reading (even during this stay at home stuff, as I work from home so there is no change!) BUT, I did read through these and get caught up and I really enjoyed the entire story so far. I love the flip of back and forth from hunter to hunted. The blossoming uber girl stuff is perfectly done so far. I'll make sure I read the next chapter as soon as it's out!
I think everyone is inspired by something somewhere, and in the end, it makes everything better. I wouldn't worry about borrowing elements.

And now... more unbearably light trucks (and unbearably slow tow trucks!)

Thanks Au Goose,
I'm sorry to be a bit needy on this, For years everything I wrote was hyper-criticised, including someone literally reading over my shoulder as I was writing and telling me it was crap in real time. It went a long way to destroying my confidence and enthusiasm,

Charlize Theron with Kryptonian-grade powers who is pounding Hancock using a semi-truck as a club. That earns roughly a 10 out of 10 on my list of cool scenes. And it gets better.
Hancock might not be a well-regarded movie by most people's standards, but the Director's Cut is the best I've ever seen when it comes to genre action.
