Dear Jon X its been ages since you have updated your site, Iv sent a ton of private messages and Emails to you all of which have been ignored.  I understand that you probably have your own life outside of the work and that comes before the website but to totally abandon it and not write in the blog area and say something like "Im taking a hiatus" or something to that degree annoys me.  Please either pm me or reply to this topic to let your fans now whats happening with your site thank you.

He abandoned the website long before covid. It's a shame because his content was really good. The quality of his comics has never been equaled.

My understanding from past posts is that he wants to do more content but free time and current COVID conditions work against him. I am looking forward to more content in the future.

I have been following him for a number of years, as far back as 2005-2006 anyway.   For the first few years, there were updates galore and everything was always top notch.   You could tell he put a lot of time and effort into everything.   Along the way, updates started slowing down and at one point, I recall the 2 websites he had at the time both went down.   He eventually resurfaced with a few new websites and promises of frequent updates.   Well, to make a long story short, that's kinda been the premise every since.   He'd go away for awhile, come back with promises of frequent updates, then disappear again.......rinse, wash, repeat, etc.   It's a shame too.   His content is truly great, I especially love the Future is Female series.   I also still have every single photo, comic and video I've purchased from him over the past 15+ years.   I hope he can find the desire to return full time.    I know it must be hard work to keep things fresh without regurgitating too many of the same ideas but this fanbase is always willing to let you know what they want to see.

Content creators/artists should be able to gracefully retire when their interests or life goes in different directions. The problem of course, is that its easy to get briefly motivated by fans and make promises, only to be unable to complete them.

But human nature and the desire to please encourages artists to promise more than they can deliver. You can't be a content producer if you don't like to please people. Especially true when it comes to videos, as both the fan interest and the huge effort and expense required make it harder to manage.

So to borrow a line from Douglas Adams and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "So long, and thanks for all the fish".

Does anyone else get tired of these recurrent "open posts" to JonX?

Every time I look at the list of recent topics and see one my heart sinks.

Another Douglas Adams quote: "Oh no, not again."

Gincognifo, I kinda agree TBH...while his models and costumes are mostly top notch, his customer service and delivery are not his strong suit (and this was well before the pandemic).  If people are looking to part with money for paid content, I would encourage them to support producers that not only produce more regularly but also cater to their fans (e.g.  TKS, HikerAngel, etc)

Sorry, rant over....

Hey all,

I love this - "Does anyone else get tired of these recurrent "open posts" to JonX?"

:)

I'm taking a hiatus from producing. There, I said it!

I love making comic books and short movies. And I'd love to make more. And yes, there have been some false starts and I've eventually run out of steam. But, talk to anyone that has attempted to produce the best original content they can, and they'll tell you that sometimes things don't go according to plan, sometimes you're late, and sometimes you run out of energy.

And it's hard to make a reasonable profit you can then put into making bigger and better features. That was always my goal - to produce a series of 45 min movies like BullyPup and the Steeles managed to do.

... and then you find out that someone uploaded all your films to PornHub, and guys like this - www.deviantart.com/fkltse/gallery/708724...uperheroines-cosplay - are literally stealing my photos and passing them off as their own.

It has never been about money. I've put tens of thousands of my own money into making movies and adding special effects. I just love the genre and being able to create comics and movies that I know the community will like.

And yes, it's true... I'm not great at the public interaction and I don't get involved in forum discussions. But that doesn't mean that I don't provide good customer service when there is a problem with my comics/films.

I still love the genre, and I too love TKS and HikerAngel, etc. You'll find me on SWM and Discord every day :)

@dandud88 - as soon as I'm looking to shoot again, I'll be in touch

@lfan - are the topics for my websites still in "Commercial" purgatory with Bluestone? :)

Pornhub has finally done the right thing and blown out every video that didn't have a registered owner behind it.  I was reporting a lot of videos on there with little success.  Go to that deviantart poster and it is easy to report violations.  We shall see if they do anything.  I'm no angel but when I see that wide open pirate distribution I put in a report or comment.

Also, before PornHub did their purge, they did offer a feature to upload your videos in a copyright checking database similar to what YouTube uses to spot pirated videos or clips. Most video streaming sites have similar features as they can get into big legal and financial trouble otherwise.

Before you upload videos, you might want to take a look into these options. They might save you some headache and lost revenue when you next video eventually gets released. If you are interested in learning more, send me a PM.

Well said, Woody!  While I didn't think my post came off as hating on JonX -- and it certainly wasn't my intention --  I'll issue a public apology if it was taken that way.  I still stand by my comments with some of my frustration with his lack of communication, but that is because I, like others here, am a fan of his content and, quite often in times, a financial backer of his stuff, as I have bought almost all of his movies

I have been on the side of his fence as well with content sharing.  In no less than a couple months after The Awakening was released, some jerkoffs pirated it, uploaded it for download and even redid the cover art for it (in Turkish).  It still makes my blood boil to this day -- partly cause of the pirating but also partly cause the cover artwork was better than ours!  LOL!  In any case, the pirating is irritating and I understand the toll that that takes financially and emotionally on producers like JonX.  That dude on DA doing that is an asshole.

Like Sarge, I've reported a number of pirating instances for PSW, TKS, and yes, even SSH even memory serves.  Here's yet another reminder for any users thinking of reposting genre content publicly:  you'll be banned from SWM.

JonX, concerning your commercial banned comment, TBH, I honestly do not know.  Bluestone's "commercial banning" was another case entirely, as he was posting EVERYDAY on stuff that was tip-toeing the line between peril and girl power.  If you wanna discuss this or anything else with me, please feel free to email me privately or discord me at @elf22#0152

Peace
ElF

My comment wasn't intended as an attack on JonX. Creators can choose to stop creating at any time.

It was intended as a criticism of people who try to get his attention by posting on a public forum. Comes off a little desperado. A little like standing outside his house with a boombox playing "Roar."

Jon's been a big part of this genre since I can remember. I used to frustrated too that Jon didn't put out enough movies because he always had the hottest babes like Emma G and Danica. I had correspondence over one of my scripts. I would of loved to have Jon do a commission but I got my own view of what I want to see although his vision comes close. Then I realized I was a big hypocrite since many of you have been waiting for more of my art, lol. I'm glad Jon is still here with us at least communicating. I could imagine how tough it is for content creators to produce this stuff. I wish I had the wherewithal and tenacity to contact hot actresses and convince them to wear hot clothes while I film them. Luckily (or unluckily depending how you look at it) I started getting a bit ok with Daz 3D. I can make the things I want to see. I still do my artwork but that's been for sketch covers, etc.

In the past I definately went and bought things. The quality was good, the girls fantastic. As Shader said, people can retire or step away just tell us. I think his work is fantastic but I crave consistency myself, so Taurus Films is fantastic. They are good for 2-3 films of 10-20 minutes a month, good quality girls, sometimes a bit stale on the theme or story but they try and mix things up, For me I like the consistency, if Jonx put stuff up of a 10-20 minute film at a similair cost I would buy it. But to each his own.

Based on his earlier posts and comments, the pandemic took a big hit on him because (very reasonably) his usual models were concerned about meeting in person for photo or video shoots. Then there has been an ongoing issue with his paid videos and photos being circulated on various websites for free. The models that he uses are not cheap and often caused him to lose money in the whole endeavor. Seeing his content just posted for free on websites was likely the final straw.

So, it seems a case where Internet piracy lead to a creator to stop creating new content.

Well if he offered commissions/custom comics and or videos I think that would have been more helpful your making money that way even if you lose money later on you getting paid up front

I agree. And then it is the person who commissioned the video choice on whether they release it to the world or not, rather than some pirate who paid for access and then uploaded everything they could grab to a website.
