I too got a Sucker Punch vibe, but on a budget. I still think Sucker Punch is really impressive (visually), but the fault was that someone threw in everything they thought was cool and it ended as a complete mess.
As I checked this trailer I was initially afraid this was another Uwe Boll movie, but was pleasantly surprised it wasn't so. Instead it is directed by Leigh Scott, most known for Transmorphers and King of the Lost World . (Not seen them, but gives a hint of what to expect.)
I wouldn't hope all too much on this release.

An Asylum reguler as a director isn't a good thing. Those guys are like an entire company of Uwe Bolls

Meh. I'll watch it because its girls kicking ass.
Sucker Punch as a story wasn't all that great, but I think they did well with what they had to work with. Zack Snyder is awesome for visuals. Plus, being an 18 year Cavalryman, I could tell just by watching the girls that someone taught them how to properly shoot a weapon in close quarters which for me hot girls + combat training = hot!
(Note: They were actually trained by former Navy Seals.)
Plus, Heidi Moneymaker- hehe- was Sweetie Pie's stunt double. She's down stunts in movies such as: 24, Hancock, Mission Impossible III, My Name Is Earl, Serenity, Spider-Man 3, Star Trek, and most recently as Black Widow in The Avengers. Rowr!
Anyway, I went way off tangent. Movie looks okay enough for a Netflix watch.

If I want story and characters and drama, I'll read a book from my vast library of classics.
Nice find
Peace.
