Ant Man and the Wasp
Hank: "and blasters."
Scott: "So I take it you didn't have that tech available for me."
Hank: "No, I did."
Antman is the comic book movie of the modern day that fully embraces it's comicbook roots.
It looks like the sequel will do the same.
I am pretty excited.

LOL! Loved it
Can't wait for this.
Great to see Wasp in action, nice bonus
Peace.

The badguy on Flash last night shrank a building and walked off with it.

I think two reasons. First of all that's not Jan, she's Hope (the daughter of Hank and Jan). Second, because that implies a major genetical manipulation which is a very touchy subject in a world that understand it exists, but not what it entails.

Also the character is gender-flipped: Ghost has always been male in the comics.
But good for us to see another powerful woman onscreen.
Personally I'd love to see a movie starring the Dark Horse superheroine Ghost, but that's a whole 'nother story.

I might contend that while male-looking the comic book Ghost was pretty much gender-neutral, up until the Thunderbolts run, the character was more or less defined just by its hatred for corporations.

Antman is my favorite Marvel movie.
Antman and the Wasp is now my favorite Marvel movie by far.
What chemistry these to have together.
They look and act great together both in costume and in their civies.
Plenty of action, humor and story.
They made a big movie by going small.
Kind of refreshing to see a comic book movie that had some drama and heroic action without relying on some villain trying to take over the world.

Kudos for not having it revolve around a villian.
Nice bits of Ghost and Wasp being kick-ass women.
The movie ain't Schindler's List or even disserving of a Best Picture nod, but it is pretty fun. Hank carries around a bunch of shrunken cars in a hot wheels carrier. They throw a giant hello kitty pez dispenser at a motorcycle! Hank powers his lab with D Battery grown to giant size. (Just don't think about these things very long.)
They also keep the movie moving along fairly well, tossing in enough action scenes to pep things up. I really liked some of the Wasp fights.
They also use the de-aging CGI trick they used on Douglas in Ant-Man a few times in this (and once casting Laurence Fishburnes son to play him as a younger man).
The movie is just fun, not in the Guardians of the Galaxy I way, but it's own way that's satisfying (and endearing in parts). Marvel is learning to allow the movies to have their own tone and color pallette, letting the movies be more unique. This is a good thing. Of the last movies the only one that really felt like the old "Marvel" format was Avengers:Infinity War (and it probably should). GotG,Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Ant-Man and the Wasp all do a great job of being their own thing. It does give me hope for Captain Marvel (that at least Marvel is going to swing for something hopefully).
The other Phase Three movies, Captain America Civile War (normal marvel movie, but it really felt like another Avengers movie). Doctor Strange had a bit of uniqueness to it, but I'd say it'd largest failing is not investing more into that. I always felt let down that we didn't get Ditko super-colorful, psychedelic energy swirls, when we did get symbols, they were all in the same energy color and were thing electric like arcs. Not to mention I'm pretty sure there is a Dikto panel or two showing that only sorcerors see the energy. So a Dramatic Sceen of Strange vs. someone doing this fanastic fight and then having someone normal see the two looking all stupid making the gestures with no sound/light happening for humor. I liked Dr. Strange but I thought it could have been better. I'd like to think that if it came after this lateset crop of movies it might have been. Sadly, they set the world of Dr. Strange in the first movie. I hope they pull a Thor: Ragnarok and elevete the next Dr. Strange to even higher levels.

The most spot on thing they said is that "because it doesn't do anything to further Marvel's 19 movie plot fans will spit on it". ("I dont' get out of bed for anything less than a Celestial."
i.e. the movie was great and fun, but some people judged it based on what they thought it should be rather than what it was. A common geek problem, that this movie had in spades. It was a really great movie. It was even a great Marvel Movie. It's silly to want/need EVERY one to be part of the giant puzzle.
I'm wondering how serious Captain Marvel is going to be. I'm sure it'll have moments of humor (as every marvel movie does). Carol isn't a jokester (though neither was Tony Stark pre-Iron Man i, and now comics Tony Stark has changed).
But i supsect that if it's a super-fantastic knock out of the park movie, that isn't funny like the other Marvel movies that fans will shit all over it too. I'm not talking grim-dark, just not Thor Ragnarok (which I love), Ant-man (1&2), GoTG, and Avengers 1 (serious mixed with a steady stream of humor).

Sure, it wasn't as massive as some of the other films, in terms of scale, but each film in the Marvel continuity has its place and tone.
For fans that think this film contributed nothing to the overall story, I would just like to say - Quantum Realm.
I would be very surprised if that did not feature in some way in future Marvel movies, including Avengers 4.
The Honest Trailers thing was funny though
Peace.
