Last Sunday my eye caught an unknown super heroine movie on dutch tv
It's called "Superjuffie" which translates to supermissy or superteacher as 'juf' means both in dutch.
It is a fun light kid orientated superhero movie where a, somewhat clunsy/awkward, middle grade teacher get superpowers from a magical statue;
Problem is she can only use them when animals need help, and needs to eat a writing chalk to activate them.
The movie is from 2018, but i think it is set in the early 2000's as these days most Dutch schools use whiteboards and the noticeable absence of things like smartphones etc.
She can fly (used the most), has super speed (once used) and also super strength (also only once used)
Personally i find her very cute and like her costume a lot.
But it might all be a bit too light weighted for the fans on this board.
trailer is here

Forgot about that, she also can hear the animals cry for help from far away. It's part of what boots up the magic .

Great find! Looks like a funny kids tribute to the Silver Age magical girl. The idea of having to eat chalk instead of saying a magic word is pretty funny. Also, it's actually a very creative thing to only be able to power up when someone, the animals in this case, ask for help.

Just saw this this past week or so:
www.tellerreport.com/life/--diewertje-di...ffie-.rJFnZlVBE.html
Article above seems to be claiming a second Super Juffie movie might be in the works. The article is from early 2019, but one never knows. Project could've had delays (COVID-19 related or otherwise).
Basically, I'm trying to figure out if a sequel to Super Juffie is still being planned. Or if the sequel has been cancelled. (Oh, and feel free to move this post if I've posted/replied in the wrong spot.)
