I watched the movie pretty much after it was uploaded, I'll look at it again since it was after 12 am :) but I don't regret at all waiting for it :)

I'm very happy with the film, it captures the feeling of the silver age Supergirl which was the goal of the project from the start, I think if any of those 'fake supergirls' that DC gave us (until they returned Kara to us) wouñld have been used I would be dissapointed.

Clealy, I'm not. The main story focuses on the way 'Supergirl' gets in the way of her alter-ego everyday life, that would be Linda and teen girl stuff such as dating, the use of the common criminals and the resented tv host of the kid program (dont remember the name.. it was 1 am :) ) filled the part of the meneace better than the hooded character.

The acting was very well done, Katie did great as Supergirl and as Linda as she didn't have to exagerate the 'nerd' part that many people asociate with Supergirl's alter-ego and even Superman's even if that was clearly written off in the mid 80s.

I believe the visual effect were pretty good considering the limitations that were present. Some people has complain a bit about the flying sequence, but people, it looks good enough for the project. Even in the Supergirl film, flying sequences were not perfect (you can see the wires).

I only have some trouble with 2 parts. The couple that were smoking some chinese drug. I don't think it shouldhave been used even if, sadly, drugs are something that teens and even kids have to deal with at school, I just don't feel it should be shown on popular media like these. I even have the same opinion about common cigarretes. The other part I have trouble with was the hand movement of the hooded figure but he's actually a secondary figure in the film, not the real menace and I think Nastro did good in using it to put Supergirl in some trouble instead of going the easy way with kriptonite.

I also see the hooded figure as coming from the silver age of comics. Since Kriptonians were so powerful back then (move planets out of its orbit, remember ? ) the only way to physcally put them in trouble was kriptonite and magic. So magic is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of what he was doing to Supergirl. Even the hairy hands with long nails or claws could come from those od comics where demons and witchcraft were a common danger to Supergirl.

It seems that there's going to be a continuation. I'll look forward to it, I hope Katie stays in the project since she did a great job. I wonder if more effort will be put in the 'super' side of the character on the second part since that hooded figure looks like it going to be returning, just hope the characterization of Linda and the iteraction of the alter-egos Supergirl/linda is not forgotten.

For a fan film, it was surprisingly well done. Like stationk said, the acting was very well done. Katie did a great job as SG.

The effects were limited, but come on, it's a fan film. I'm sure if they had the budget, they would have put more into it. The bullet effect was still neat though.

I'm still a little confused on what actually happened with the hooded figure, Officer Frank, and Supergirl in the studio. How did Officer Frank save her life? That part wasn't entirely clear. At least to me anyway.

All in all, I would recommend it.

I agree along with jd and stationk, the acting was what I would call top-par. Katie Norris seems to be a given as Linda Lee Danvers/Supergirl. What really caught my eye on the special effect front besides the bullets bouncing off her was the x-ray vision she used to check out Rick Malverne. And now to my complaint, why Rick, of all things, instead of Dick Malverne as it was in the comics?!!! Don't get me wrong, Rick is a fine name (in fact, I have a close family friend with that name) but they should've gone the silver-age route of keeping Richard Malverne's name Dick.

So I gave Ghost (of Supergirl Forever) a quicky "short" I put together of the COATS SG taking care of the asteroids that are mentioned in the film on the space station some time ago. I think he needs a push to post it folks. Go pest... er... encourage him. 8)

The effects are a step better than what were done for the origional film, but since it's been so long I've progressed even farther and I can't stand watching it without cringing at what could be done :? (You all might still like it however :D ) . I'm getting better at this 3D and/or GreenScreen thing.
