Smallville 7.6 -- 'Lara'

Some new spoilers up on KS show that Helen Slater, the original Supergirl (from 1984 film) is set to play Clark's Kryptonian mommy, Lara, in episode six:

Nice touch by the execs to bring back past actors of the previous incarnations (Margot Kidder, Dean Cain, Slater). Heck, Lynda Carter was even on it last season.....

Twas the much-wished-it-was-forgotten Superman III, methinks....

...and Annette O'Toole -- my personal favorite of all the Smallville women -- who played Lana Lang waaay back in Superman II.

Well, it also did give us "Nicotine Kryptonite" as well as the oft-used movie concept of embezzling the "franctional" portion of company paychecks which was later reused (and properly referenced back to SM III) in Office Space, one of the greatest films of our age.

Annette O'Toole was the only noteworthy feature of that movie.

Truly sad -- borderline pathetic -- that we remember such details from this movie!! The second anyone starts quoting Superman IV, I'm outta here!!
