David R. Kelleys Wonder Woman!

03 Oct 2010 15:19 #20481 by AJF
David R. Kelleys Wonder Woman! was created by AJF
It's been reprted all over the net that David E. Kelley is writing and producing a pilot for a all new WW tv series that is going to be pitched to all the major broadcast tv networks. Details of the pilot are under wraps.

Insane! WB can't figure out how make a WW film, so now they want a new tv series?! I remember, back in the late 1990s, WB TV tried to develop a new WW sereis with the the producers of Lois and Clark.

Recall that in June, DC released images of a new Wonder Woamn costume, and speculation at the time was that it was related to a movie.

Want to bet this is close to how Diana will look on the TV show?

If you check out David E. Kelleys' wikipedia page, under the Recent Projects section, it says that he may develop a new WW series for the CW network. Is this the potential DC property that Dawn Ostroff was talking about? If the project goes foward, will it be shopped around to other networks?

If it happens there won't be a costume, they're too silly to take seriously on prime time TV.

Curious to see if they treat this as a "superhero show" or a "girl who happens to have superpowers" show like Smallville....

SK is kinda right in that costumes don't translate well on the small screen without looking campy. I think that is why they revamped the costume (knowing this was coming). Still, there is such a backlash on her new look, I wouldn't be surprised to see another redesign...
