Latest to be attached to the WW Pilot is director named Jeffrey Reiner who's work includes Friday Night Lights (awesomeness) and....wait for it.....Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!!!

On the good news front, he has supposedly directed three pilots recently (Trauma, The Event, Caprica) -- ALL of which got picked up into series development.

The guy worked on Power Rangers? Fail. Power Rangers is a buncha inferior storylines/FX cut together with action scenes from one of the best franchises on Japanese TV. Watch a season of a Sentai series, then watch what Saban/Disney did to that season to create a season of Power Rangers, and you will understand the kind of butchers the creators of Power Rangers are..

Dude. The US hasn't done anything but rip off, dumb down, and repackage Japanese sci-fi ideas for the past fifty years. I think "superheroes" (the kind we're all here to fantasize about) are the last decent original idea that actually travelled west-to-east.
