The producer might be Kelley, but the director had his hands in projects like Friday Night Lights and The Event, so I'm optimistic!

Keep in mind this was the (supposedly) the original script and is wide open to changes by the studio. I agree with Jason in that Im optimistic that Reiner (director) will only help this show's chances for success.

Interesting. From a mechanics stand-point, her original costume was more functional in terms of movement.

Interesting. From a mechanics stand-point, her original costume was more functional in terms of movement.
"Functional" from the standpoint of being able to do stunt work and fight scenes without having to worry so much about her ta-ta's falling out or having a wardrobe malfunction. The "strapless" bustier top, I imagine kinda limits movement in doing stunt work.
That said, I think it's total BS. I cannot stand when people take an iconic character like WW -- known for her costume -- and change it like that. This one, though indirect at the DC/WB people who changed it in the comics first. I f**kin hate this trend in comics of making everything dark and cyberpunkish to make things 'believable'...
Someone posted this on another WW board as a speculated compromise. Doubtful it would be this, but it's a nice amalgam of the old versus new costume, if they wanted to "try" to give homage to the original and not go all leathery/dark angel:

I always thought the original with some thigh heels would be sexy, functionality be damned!

"STILL on set!!! We are working HARD for you! First day has been AWESOME so far! Adrianne Palicki & Cary Elwes are just wonderful! Lucky me! "
If Etta and Harry (Elwes) are in the scenes, they are probably filming indoors right now. Reports have Hollywood Blvd shut down I believe in late March so that'll prob be the big chase / action scene where we'll see her in costume. Question is, will we get some leaked photos before....

Being that the case, I actually like the costume! The colors are true, though I agree that the boots could be different, and she fills it out just fine. I think some forget how "skinny" Lynda Carter actually was.
Visually, I like. I'm still hopeful about the show itself.

Indeed! It's the same morons saying she's not 'Amazonian looking and muscular' enough. As if Lynda Carter was some brickhouse fitness type....

Same here, while the "mental image" of WW has changed a lot over the years I think that this kind of complain are quite baseless. A few people did side-by-side comparisons and Lynda Carter wasn't particulary muscular herself.
Right now I think we are still in the rant and rave phase, where the fandom is picky for no reason at all (the same happened with the first stills of the X-Men movie costumes).

I wonder - which alter ego is this? The business owner/WW or the second alter ego?
This is probably the "high profile" alter ego - since she is not exactly keeping a low profile here. Can't wait to see the perhaps mousey one.
LF - do you know if she's still in the military?

People are expecting a new Xena, and not a new Wonder Woman. If people were waiting for a new Wonder Woman probably they would complain about the lack of some elements like the invisible plane or the starred bottom and not about how buffed she looks or not
Going ahead is the only one way to go to the future.

I haven't considered that in the meantime there was the Xena factor, nice catch.

Very good comment Anon. Gotta also say - the more I hear from Lynda Carter the more I like her!
