I'm sorry, but I've given up on Wonder Woman running across my TV screen; as I think WB/DC has.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but seeing the public backlash to this latest attempt at a WW TV show has completely soured me. The company is just in too tough a spot with her.

Just take one issue like the costume. If they put her in the traditional "swimsuit" costume, women will complain about her being a stripper. However, if they put her in pants or a more conservative costume, you'll have people screaming "That's not Wonder Woman!" I mean, what are they supposed to do? They can't please everyone and, when they try, they end up pleasing no one...

I absolutely agree for a return of Wonder Woman on TV.
LOTS of people talking about the costume, but nobody talks about her powers and in particular her strength. Wonder Woman must be strong, very strong, as much as Superman! Do not forget.

There were some fun comments on a cnn article about WW's uncertain future. Some saying she's outdated and others calling her a super treasure.

As much as I would love to sign the petition I'm deeply anti-facebook, sorry

In a setting with all the DC heroes present, sure. But in a once-character setting I think that the level should be a little lower, after all she will be kicking only mere mortal butts

They loved the pilot and it was very well done, but they decided it didn't fit with their schedule and their other shows? WTF!

Sounds to me like they didn't have the guts to do the work required to market it to a broad audience. So they wimped out and tossed something boring and safe and easy into its slot.

NBC needs to grow some balls. No wonder their market share isn't growing.

I thought the same thing of that quote. Didn't know their programming had a theme like CARTOON network or SCIFI channel (though someone needs to explain to me how pro wrestling = SCIFI).

It's called N.B.C. The National Broadcasting Company. The name suggests a general programming feel to it. I swear!! Someone tell me what 'box' does The Office, Chuck, Playboy, The Voice, Community, Minute to Win It and Grimm all 'fit' in....

Oh yeah, the 'fourth place' box!!!

I was amazed at the suggestion that the pilot might not be released. Surely it's simple business sense to try to recoup your investment, especially given the worldwide publicity it attracted!

Is there some sort of online petition anywhere to get this pilot released to the public in some form?

Unfortunatly there are tons of shows that never made beyond a simple pilot episode and tons of pilot that never get to the screen, but I agree on the principle. I also like the idea of seeing this pilot for the sake of closure. To see how the story works for real.

There's a petition on Facebook, I don't know if there are others.
