Jessica Jones' costume

I know they were striving for "Realism" but would it have killed anybody to slip Kristen Ritter into the Jewel costume in a quick flashback?

In he MCU, things are a bit different than the comics.

There aren't many costumed heroes floating about. In Jones they mention the "gifted" (people with powers). But, as far as we know the only people running around in costumes are the Avengers, Ant-Man, and Daredevil. The people in SHIELD just wear SHIELD uniforms. All the other powered individuals were dressed normally.

At the time of the flashback, it was probably just The Avengers (and maybe not even them, not sure if by the timing it would have been pre-Avengers #1/Iron Man 1, etc). and it made a bit of sense for someone like Jones to say "no" to the costume. In the Comics there are thousands of heroes and it seems more normal to put on a flashy costume.

I'd still have liked to have seen Ritter in costume, but her rejecting it seemed to fit the universe they were in.

OTH, we got Cage saying "Sweet Christmas". That's a win in my book.

I can't remember the exact line but Cage did say something like: "Do you still have YOUR costume" or "Do you have a costume?"

Couldn't Jessica have walked out of the bedroom wearing the costume and said"NO!"
That would have been fun.

I kinda like how the implication that She was caught by Kilgrave becuse she was so open about her powers...

So in the MCU the realistic sensible thing to do is to put on a costume.
