Ah ok, I saw a resemblance in these two photos. There was an instagram account of this Erin Woika cosplayer but looks like she shut it down (or somebody hacked her, who knows), pity.

Remember 6'3" tall pro volleyball player Gabrielle Reece. Here's one of her covers from 22 years ago that I've always liked. Superwoman indeed.

Thanks for finally giving a name to the woman I suspect inspired AK for the looks of Jessie Nelson aka The Superior Girl.

She dropped out of both competition and sports broadcasting (her second career) to marry professional big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton, one of the most extreme athletes on the planet, and raise some beautiful and genetically gifted children.
Given Laird and Gabby's rarified genetics, I'd be surprised if her daughters don't grow up to surpass their mother in height and physical prowess. Sometimes investing in the future is the right answer.

They didn't have superheroines in ancient Rome, but they DID have women athletes who worked out in bikinis!

That sigh of relief as the serum kicks in and those Kryptonian powers come flooding back. Going from human to Kryptonian is always wild and wonderful, almost orgasmic, even if they only last a few days each time. A pretty amazing few days.
Or so I imagined when I saw this pict... anyone remember Gena Lee Nolen?

Really like the one where PG's saving a couple of kids and an elderly man in a crosswalk.
I wouldn't want to be the driver. Once she's done getting people to safety, she's likely to engage in a bit of driver education. Assuming he was just careless, PG is not above crunching up his vehicle into a smoking ball and then chaining him to it.
This vintage of PG was closer to Batman than to Superman when it came to dealing with criminals. Demonstrative and brash and too willing to use her fists. Domination and intimidation were useful tools.
I always thought this vintage of PG was best characterized as a dominant male personality stuffed into an exaggerated female body with Superman-grade muscles. Butchy. Which I think worked for her, especially with those oversized boobs that are never quite covered properly.
That really distinguished her from Supergirl, who was more traditionally feminine.

Supergirl and Powergirl actually share the same genetics... they are merely alternate dimensional (universe) versions of each other.
What does that mean? Well, give Supergirl a few more years and she'll have all the PG attributes, albeit with a different wardrobe. Superman has his superhumanly-large muscles, and his female cousin(s) have their own superhuman traits:

Given they come from a planet that has no lakes or oceans, it's not surprising that Vels prefer beaches and water when on Earth.
And given that it takes a close encounter with a high-yield nuke to give them a sunburn, their preferred beach wardrobe is simplicity itself, as this picture shows. And sand in all the wrong places is a good thing when you're invulnerable.
The ability to one-hand a railroad locomotive over their head on our planet is a real confidence builder. Those muscles aren't just for show.
