Believability for role: 100%
Acceptability to blockbuster movie-making folks: 0%
Can't blame it on the studios. The general public can get behind Gal Gadot easier than this realistic-looking Amazon actress. They can handwave away the skinny body by going with the idea that her strength is magic and not due to powerful muscles.
Not the first time. Lynda Carter wasn't exactly muscular, but she had a couple of interesting curves. And we got bird-like Angelina Jolie with head-to-toe padding along with XL prosthetic boobs as Lara Croft. That was very 20th century. We are already doing better in the 21st, but have a long ways to go.
The good news is that the perception of what is "beautiful" is gradually changing in the right direction. Fitter, more muscular, leaner, aka Alicia Vikander. Helen Slater versus Melissa Benoist. Helen looked like the comic book character, but Melissa looks like she could really throw a punch.
But there is still a LONG ways to go to get anywhere near this lady.
Likelihood of the public perception of blockbuster actress attractiveness going this far in the 21st century: not much.
Chances of finding an accomplished actress with this build: 0%
But I'm still hoping for animation to become indistinguishable from live-action. If that happens, perhaps the viewer would get to define the characteristics of the actors. Everyone could see them differently. You want WW to look like this? Pick that option from the setup screen. You want her to look like a teenage lingerie model? Pick a different look from the menu. You want her to look like an old girlfriend or someone you saw in the gym? There might be an extension to allow that, if you're insane enough to try. <grin>
Perhaps the 3D glasses of the future would allow everyone in the theater (if there still are such things) to see their personal interpretation of the actors. That would sure change the "who do you want to play Supergirl" discussions. Of course, we'd have to share our personal interpretations of the actors, which would continue similar discussions.
I like the idea of allowing the viewer to use their imagination and creativity, just as we do here every day.
Consider the possibilities...
(But they better hurry with this tech. I'm getting old.)

Also, unlike most celebrities, Gal isn't afraid to have her picture taken when she's just hanging around the backyard and not fancied up. I think "down to Earth" is the operative phrase.

Agreed there were others who could have worn that shirt in the past. But now there is only one.
Gal’s husband is a businessman in Tel Aviv, and he has both a sense of humor and some obvious pride. Unlike many celebrity husbands, he’s an ordinary bloke raising some kids with a pretty special wife. The kind of wife who can both be very pregnant and playing a convincing Wonder Woman at the same time. That alone is a wonder.
Given they don’t live around other Hollywood celebrities and that insane culture, odds are they will remain authentic in their own way.

From what I can see she tend to go overboard a bit, often whenever there's a purely sexual comment, which is understandable. Unfortunately she has the habit to counter them with equally inappropriate comments.

Well in that regard, maybe she's just playing the part perfectly.
I seem to recall a scene in one of her older books (don't remember which issue now) where she punched some guy out for making an unwanted observation of her physique. She had some issues (in that interpretation of the character), given she was both flaunting herself and was intolerant of anyone actually responding. It was like a test or something.
