Heather Effect 10th Anniversary

Personally, with simply 4 pics, Shawn is my favorite HE model....hope to see her incorporated soon. Perhaps, sprinkling Shawn in with AJ, Aeryn, and the rest might cater to both fans of Be as well as fans of "more realistic proportions"...

In any case, appreciate the time to solicit feedback and give us sneak peeks. As for muscles, i personally dig the fitness model types like Erin Stern or Timea Majorova who aren't overly muscular but definitely have some definition to go with their curves...

I like Shawn's proportions, looks really good (although the top shot is imo still Wonder Woman from Vengeance).
Either way, colossal breasts or just large breasts, the muscles shouldn't be too big. I'd actually say the same thing as you lfan, but Erin Stern or Timea are a bit too shredded for my taste.

Concerning humps: The current HE models could be more apple-ish, but not as big as Ms. McFudgePack. It's hard to describe... actually I think that the butts are pretty well-formed. But they seem to look a bit smallish atop of the largely defined legs that the models have.

I like them both. Prefer Shawn over Lindsey by a good margin. Shawn is a DDD? I guess I am spoiled by your girls usual average breast sizes then.

I totally respect your choice Lfan, Sarge and Esteban.

But for my part, I vote for Lindsey, without hesitation! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

It's really the idea I'm getting for a Superheroine who possess super strength. She must be tall, both thick and muscular : just take a look to Power Girl !
I think Shawn is too thin and has a too small breast. :(

Strength = muscles, not too much, but muscles as fitness women.
femininity = breast, butt, thighs...

So far, my favorite was Aeryn, now I look forward to being able to see Lindsay (or call her what you like) in action ! Please...

I love how Shawn looks, maybe a little too skinny, but the proportions looks a lot better to me.
Lindsey isn't bad either, although I would see her better with a little more muscle, something around the level of an olympic swimmer, not a body-builder.

Still, I can see that these are very different styles respect to your usual models and lack the "HE feeling".

Shawn has a nice pretty face, and you're right her body would be incredible in the real world. But you're going to have a hard time passing her off as 'super' when she's standing in the same frame as any of the other girls.

But like I mentioned earlier, a transformation story would be fantastic. A comic with dozens of frames (or possibly another one of those animations which you've only produced one of I believe) that shows her blossoming from the above example into a "full-fledged" HE girl would likely be my personal #1 favorite geeky fake 3D virtual female masturbatory material of all time!

But I do get the impression that it might not be the easiest thing to do technically, is that right? Like you have to nail down the body of the model before you go inserting her into any artwork, so doing body-shifting transformation type of stories might have a programming/design aspect that makes it difficult? I don't know what the limitations are. I'm just a lonely perv on the internet with some friendly suggestions is all.

As for Lindsey: absolutely yes. Absolutely. I'm with Artnico in that I also wouldn't mind a little bit more ass. Not hung up on it though. I think you might be surprised how many of us "breast men" like a rounded booty. I get your comment about Natalie Portman with basketballs (hilarious btw), but I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that Natalie Portman with basketball tits and a Kim Kardashian ass (still with a Natalie Portman waistline) would be closer to that unattainable ideal only possible with computer graphics.

As far as muscles, you're probably going to get a wide variety of opinions. But for me, the fantasy has to do with blindingly sexy, feminine women who don't look "strong" or "powerful" at first glance (but who are obviously very fit) but then surprisingly you find out they're also basically Supergirl. So big muscles almost work against the fantasy for me. There is a lot of crossover with female bodybuilder types in this genre, but one of the biggest draws to your site for me was the femininity of the models. I'm hoping you don't veer away from that.

Lastly: I just wanted you to know that i'm in love with you. But wait! Not in a creepy way! Okay fine... maybe it is in a little bit of a creepy way being that you're a faceless internet entity, but what can I say? Thanks a lot for making the site and taking all my money. Keep up the great work!

Second this. They are both amazing in their own right, and definitely better than the current characters. Not that I hate the current canon, just like this look better.

OH HAI!!!

It definitely looks like Shawn's a hit, so we put together a few more concepts. One thing I'm digging about the more realistic boob size is that I can actually sculpt 'em into different shapes for cleavage, bras, tight clothing, etc.

I'm currently gathering up references to put a new face on her; right now Shawn is based on a real person from a project outside of HE, so we can't use her (from the neck up) because there would be a conflict of interest.

I'll post some samples here as soon as I come up with something :)

A few final thoughts on boobs and butts...

We'll always favor the "implants" look over the "natural" look. Going with characters who have gigantic "hangers" would necessitate "breast physics" calculations into our pipeline, (soft-body dynamics to you, Mister!) That, in addition to the 3 million steps it takes us to produce a single frame is just impractical.

We're definitely not fans of big butts and child-bearing hips. To me, these girls just look out of shape. It seems like I'm always seeing pictures of Kim Kardashian leaving the gym; she's just stopping there to poop, right?

The look of our models always factors into the stories as well. Aeryn for example, is all tall and statuesque, which makes her very intimidating. Angela on the other hand, looks all young and adorable which makes her superhuman abilities seem all the more potent.

We're obviously gonna stick with our current roster of girls for our ongoing series like Rapture and Vengeance, but we've decided to develop a new series based on whatever character I come up with...and Shawn's body.

We'll have to release it alongside the next Vengeance, so nobody freaks out. Even though Shawn has more D's in her bra size than a college football player's report card, two-thirds of our customers will still lose their shit at the very sight of her :)

So what do you guys want to see out of this potential comic? I'd love to do something based solely on customer feedback, or even bring in a new writer to mix things up.

A member pointed me to EvilSuperGirls.com. Anybody know anything about this guy? His stories seem pretty much in line with what we're doing.

Oh yeah; all this talk about Natalie Portman got me thinking!

PEACE!

Jess

My two cents for breast size

I am one of those guys who are not happy with unrealistic breast size. I understand your concerns on losing some potential customers by changing that. But I have to confess that I ceased to purchase some your works for that reason. However, your envision for Shawn will make me to consider this again. I agree a different story line and even in a different universe is a good idea to start along with ongoing series.

Thanks

Are the breasts in Shawn8 and Natshawn bigger than in Shawn6 and Shawn7?

Shawn could fill in with many of the well-known "stereotypes" for superwomen. Newly-transformed spoiled schoolgirl, alien from outer space (who may or may not be causing huge trouble because she's not used to being so much stronger than the world around her), laboratory assistant who used some secret machine on herself (stealing the year-long research of a professor/research team, completely doing it on purpose and knowing her goal, of course destroying the machine afterwards and toy around with the team then [might be a bit burrowed from the Super Ayami story...]), and so on.
Personally, I'd like her character a bit less cruel and cold. You know, still evil and dominant, but less "everyone's worthless to me, I squish heads like grapes and feel nothing but emptiness inside". She should have fun in trying out her abilities, smile broadly (glee, teeth) and mocking her weak victims while toying with them. She shouldn't make so short work of everyone she kills. I believe you when you say that there are 3 quazillion steps needed to make one single frame, but it would be really cool if she'd take more enjoyment out of toying with people than ripping them apart in an instant. I'd love a whole comic just featuring her dominating two people or something ;) I do, though, understand that it's important to tell a story, because the character will be too flat and boring after a while.

Yeah. These are my thoughts and feelings towards this. Shawn6 is my favorite so far, btw.

I'm really disappointed that we eliminate the character of Lindsay without even giving her a chance to exist, simply because 3 or 4 persons have acclaimed Shawn. :(

Don't forget that there is a silent majority that does not necessarily express on this forum.

So, why not keep the two characters and make them coexist in an adventure, as you know so well done in Heather Effect ?

After all, in the series GATM Retribution, there are several different Superwomen acting together.

Please, don't give up the character of Lindsay, it would be wrong.

Hey yo!

@Brantwood:

I do plan on revisiting Retribution down the road; there's no specific timeline just yet. It was a huge money maker for us and I made sure to leave the door open for future stories. At this point, I'd like to see Rapture concluded first; that one's closer to my heart :)

@Esteban:

Breasts are the same size, just a different shape. I'm still experimenting here :) "NatSwan" is a different model altogether; just me doodling as usual!

@Artnico

We're not giving up on anything! Like I said, I know our customers well enough to anticipate what will sell and what won't. If there's something I can do to bring in a larger audience, then I'm game.

This sucks; I just watched Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and it's so close to what we're doing with Vengeance that we may have to start the next 2 issues over...goddammit.

Yes and no; we "re-sculpt" preexisting models and modify them for what we need.

Sorry for errors/mispells/general atrocities to grammar and so on, English is not my first (or even second) language.

I've followed the website since it started (and before that I followed Foxtrot 3D) and I really love it... in fact, I think I may have bought everything you created except maybe for a picture pack or two. :laugh:
Love the art, love the idea of the truly dominant girls (I don't know why but I really don't like supegirls to struggle against their opponents, it makes them a lot less sexy in my mind. The more one sided the fight the better, especially if the enemy is at first presented as very powerful him/herself), love the customer service, love the fact that it's updated more than once in forever... It's the only website of the genre I've ever even considered paying for (except for the aformentioned Foxtrot 3D), so thumbs up for me.

One thing I would like to see, though, is a little more variety: in the characters' behaviour, in the bodytypes, in the feats of strength, in the type of enemies (personally I find more exciting and impressive the idea of a supergirl fighting something huge like some sort of fantasy monster -dragon, giant demon, titan, god, whatever- rather than her lifting an average guy by the throat and breaking his neck... not that I don't like the latter, but it gets a little boring after a while), attire (god, I hate platform shoes... why they almost always wear platform shoes, they're already, like, seven feet tall... :D), and so on.
It think it would also help to solve "problems" like the one regarding the breast size: instead of having stories with three huge breasted girl we could have a huge one, a very big one and a realistically proportioned one and, voilĂ , everybody would be happy (maybe).

For the stories... I'll be honest, to me scripts like "monster attacks city > girl kicks his ass > everybody lives happy ever after" or "girl gets superpowers > becomes evil maniac and slaughter a thousand people > everybody is dead, nobody left to live happily ever after" are absolutely perfect... More ass kicking, less talking about what assess need to be kicked and how/why. :D

P.S. Any chance of you using some of the old Foxtrot 3D models? I really loved Bleak face and body, it would be nice to see a new version of that.

Yeah, and they even tried putting in a good punch. Found it a bit funny that the major problems were solved by putting the "effect-word" *crunch* over the spot where a crumbled hand should be seen, but it's a good start and I'm glad to see the improvement.

Glad y'all liked it :))
We're deeply divided on the whole "sound effect text" thing. It made the punch work and it helps our fans who don't speak English to better understand the "action" panels, but I'm not convinced it fits our style.
A few years back we messed around with "cel-shaded" rendering, giving the comics a traditional hand-drawn look, but the response was overwhelmingly negative. (Our audience definitely prefers the photorealistic style)
It's tough to add things like friction and motion lines and have everything look somewhat natural with the visual fidelity we're after :)

I think these sound effect texts are an acceptable compromise. A punch as it is is surely hard enough to illustrate in still frames, and without some effects or these texts it just wouldn't seem authentic. So, concerning the assumption that adding some motion blur is a very tough job, I won't turn up my nose at them ;)
Also, I too definitely prefer the current photorealistic style..

From the website: On a side note, we fully understand how bat-shit crazy people have been getting when it comes to American politics lately and we'd like to firmly state that we're not taking sides with this issue! No matter which side of the aisle you're on, please don't get all bent out of shape because we're just trying to tell a story!

No superpowers used. A plot developing chapter as will 13 and 14 be.
