Agents of shield
The thing is they are running commercials for it showcasing some blonde super babe performing stuff with telekinesis, fireballs and some minor strength.
Is this a character on the show or is it Veronica's own promotion stuff. Because Veronica (name of TV station) has done that before.

Your description could lead to "The Tomorrow People", as the lead female character has more or less those powers ... but she's not blonde.

I've found a making of on youtube (it's on the veronica channel, can't believe I didn't look for it there to begin with )
It features some scenes, I can't seem to find the original clips though.

Plus, Sif from the Thor movies will appear on Agents of Shield later this season. So says Paul Lee, ABC entertainment president.

Looking forward it as the premise sounds like there is some potential there:
"Lady Sif comes here on a hunting mission, sent by Odin, to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor’s world.”"
Here's hoping.
Peace.

in all seriousness, i hope this does well. Jamie Alexander is one of those actors who would fit well just as a permenent character on the show, if for nothing else Joss Weddon is a good with characters who have slightly askew attitudes as part of an ensamble. Illayana(the hyperpower demon godess trapped in the body of a gawky southern girl) in the last season of Angel was the best part of the last season of angel.
Buy Siff as an ass kicker on earth could be all kinds of fun-but not to parking metters.

***************** SPOILERS AHEAD *************
Warning: Spoiler! If you saw last night's episode, it centered mainly around Coulson finding a "cure" for Skye (who was fatally wounded in the previous episode) by trying to track down where he was resurrected. Well, long story short, they finally tracked down the facility and give Skye the treatment which saves her life (she still is unconscious). When they ask Coulson "what happened back there", his flashback sequence involves a large blue alien who was being preserved at the facility. Hmm...large blue alien species? Kree perhaps? And by injecting Skye with the fluid, did SHIELD just show us the birth of a Kree-human hybrid? Ms Marvel, anyone?

jimbob wrote: Thinking about the Skye thing again
Warning: Spoiler! As cool it as it would be for her to become a Ms Marvel esque superwoman I don't think it would be something the show would want. It would make things too "easy". Take this episode. If Skye was super strong and invulnerable they would have solved the problem easily by her punching through the bullet proof shield and running over shrugging off their machine guns and physically restraining the two guards, forcing them to disarm the bombs. Threat over. They easily can stroll around and get what they needed without having to get into a shoot out, and figure out how to escape the place in 10 minutes before it blew.
Well to respond generally in a non spoiler context.
Well thats the problem. of the series(and i haven't seen all of the episodes) it seems pretty traditional-its an okay spy show, not really a superhero show. Introducing a superhero....welll..
if the threat of this episode wasn't enough-well amp it up. There are dozens and hundreds of ways to make a superpowered character intresting if you want, even with a power that logically should just end everything. Was watching recently a number of episodes of the Incredible Hulk-and it is suprising how well that show holds up-even if the context is that the Hulk is almost never in much physical danger-they just do a great job about making you care about the character. It can be done and it can be done well. Theres the gag that in every episode "Well the Hulk appears twice"-be that as it may it works better then you could think.
. Being strong can't fix everything-in fact in some circumstances its a farily limiting power. You can outthink it. also shes not necessairly quick, and you can fudge invulnerability-(superman does it in pretty much every issue). For the kind of show they have to introduce a real muscle character-that could work well. In the scenario you outlined well it doesn't work-well come up with something else. Give em some hostages. You could make it work.
As a fan of Buffy the Vampire slayer-which was more or less this premesis-well they did suprisingly good for it awhile.

Sif had some good scenes here, kicking a trailer into Coulson's path to shield him from gunfire, beating up a group of controlled bikers and tanking some gunfire from them, and later when Lorelai tries to attack her with her own double sword she grabs the blade and snaps it in half so they both get a sword. And when she's tossed out of their plane she manages to grab onto it and pull herself back in with just one hand (her other was holding the device they needed to stop Lorelai)
Though its mostly stunt fighting or sword fighting and not much super strength. Only noticed 4 moments, 2 from each woman. Sif kicks a full size trailer to use a makeshift shield, and punches a guy across the room and into another guy, while Lorelai tossed the dude into his car and later sends May flying with one hit.

Considering I wasn't holding my breath for much "ubergirl action", it was a very welcome gift.
Hoping for more in Thor 3
Peace.
