Supergirl Series?
AJF wrote: Its said that the project has been in development for some time and is a new take on the character.
Reacting to Marvel's publicity success with Thor, in this version, Supergirl is a man.

We used to say that about Velorians, what with their pheromones and all.
The crazy licensing and legalities are frustrating. "Super" "Girl" allowed, but not Supergirl. Why can't these guys do reasonable licensing to each other so they don't have to muck up the usual names?

I am going to guess that they didn't intend to announce anything or make this speal right now--
but probabbly not the worst thing in the world to happen to it. They got a lot of publicty and promotion which i am going to guess is overall a good thing for it-yeah i wouldn't consider it a done deal till theres a pilot, but yeah i am reasonably sure where going to get. And when we do that may be fun.

That could make for some great stories, and a natural crossover to the MOS sequence of movies. But starting off, she thinks she's the only Kryptonian on Earth. Little Girl Lost. Except she's not exactly helpless.
At least that's my wishful thinking. Everything's in place for the backstory. Does Warner/DC have the guts to break with the usual backstory for SG and go with this one? Someone was clearly planning on it.

My earlier suggestion (ASR) is #10!
Some striking choices, at least physically. I cannot say I've seen more than a couple of them so can't really give an opinion, but the most interesting choice might be the iZombie girl. However, if a show STARRING her bombs, I wouldn't be so inclined to give her the reins on another one.....

That way she can actually look and be a young woman in the show.

Well unless the show where to bomb tommorow, i doubt she would be even avalaible to shoot a pilot.
From what i saw of hellcats, Ally Mchaella is a very attractive actress...who is an okay actor. Which is the problem of shows like this. Unless they get a really talented actress i doubt its going to last all that long.Of the actresses on the list the one that most strikes me is Sara Paxton, who is very good at playing Inguine, but i donno. Going for an unknown isn't the worst thing in the world here.

She can act.
She is really cute.
She has voiced Supergirl on video already.

all very true- She can play tough, and she can do comedy, which i suspect are the two qualities that if this going to work are key. And yeah i think she could do blonde.
