Stupendously Evil Girl by GeekSeven -------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOWNLOADED FROM http://www.superwomenmania.com/storybank ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Dixon, Stupendous Girl's liaison and "minder" had spent all of Tuesday in Washington D.C., giving a post-mortem presentation on the St. Patrick's Day affair and briefing his bosses back at the U.N. and the State Department about Stupendous Girl's current state of mind. He was surprised that they seemed pleased at the outcome of St. Patrick's Day; apparently their internal projections had been for over two hundred dead and three hundred injured. The final tally had been three dead and twenty wounded. Randall was getting a lot of the credit for this. He was pretty sure that the kudos would have been withdrawn rapidly if his bosses had found out that he had ended up in bed with Stupendous Girl at the end of the night in question. During the trip home on Wednesday morning, he thought a lot about Stupendous Girl and their relationship, if "relationship" was the right word for whatever it was that was happening between them. They had continued to explore their feelings of mutual attraction, but the reality of a romance between a normal human and an invulnerable supergirl strong enough to split the moon in two was complicated. The injuries that he had sustained during a night of making out were healing well, but every attempt to deepen their physical intimacy left him with fresh bruises or broken bones. In addition to the physical complications inherent in the possibility of her accidentally squeezing him to death, there was a massive cultural chasm between them. Stupendous Girl was very bright, frighteningly clever in some ways, but her constant misunderstandings about what was appropriate behaviour on Earth made him wonder sometimes if she suffered from an alien version of Asperger's Syndrome. Randall took a Taxi from the airport to the building where he and Stupendous Girl both had apartments: hers was a massive penthouse that occupied the top two floors of the skyscraper, while his was a smaller utility apartment that doubled as his field office. He had just finished tipping the cab driver when all hell broke loose. A massive thunderclap left his ears ringing. He looked up to try and find the source of the sound and saw a large spaceship hovering over the city. From a distance, he could just make out humanoid figures flying out of all sides of the ship, about twenty in all. The figures scattered in different directions and swooped down onto the city. Familiar beams of red light burst from their eyes, causing cars to explode in the streets. One of the alien attackers flew close by and he saw that it was an incredibly attractive young woman wearing a costume similar to that worn by Stupendous Girl, but black and silver instead of blue and red. He rushed inside the building and grabbed the nearest elevator. He quickly punched the code for the penthouse floor and waited impatiently as the old machine ascended. He checked his BlackBerry on the way up, but he had no reception. It was possible that the invading supergirls had knocked out cell phone communications early on. The elevator arrived in Stupendous Girl's apartment with a ding. As soon as the doors opened, Randall ran out, calling for Stupendous Girl. "Chrissy! Stupendous Girl! We need you! There's some kind of invasion happening." Randall's forward motion stopped suddenly when he ran into what felt like brick wall. He fell to the ground and looked up at the obstacle that had suddenly appeared in front of him. His heart sank and dread filled him when he saw the woman standing over him. For a moment, he thought it was one of the new arrivals from the spaceship, but another look confirmed that it was Stupendous Girl. She had changed. Her hair was still long and mostly blonde, but now it was streaked with black highlights. Her skin was far paler than he was used to seeing it, which made the black eyeliner and black lipstick that she now wore stand out even more. In place of her usual blue and red outfit of mini-skirt and halter top, she wore a black outfit with silver edging consisting of an even shorter skirt that exposed her underwear at the slightest provocation and a halter top that was cut even higher and lower than her normal one. In place of the four-pointed gold star over her breast that had become a world-wide symbol of hope, there was a picture of a human skull, split in two. She stood with her hands on her hips and looked down at Randall's fallen figure with a sneer on her face. "How dare you address me by those names, human weakling? I am no longer 'Stupendous Girl' and I was never 'Chrissy'. I am the Dark Ravager and I am here to cleanse this world of your kind." "What's happened to you Chrissy? I don't understand. Who are those people on the spaceship?" stammered Randall. The woman who had once been Stupendous Girl laughed in a tone that Randall had never heard from her before; it was dark, booming and sent cold shivers down his spine. It was a laugh to drain the last drops of hope from a man before he died. "Nothing has happened to me, you fool. I have simply completed my examination of Earth's defences and concluded that the human race lacks the technology and the will to stop us taking the planet from you. The spaceship outside carries sister warriors from Supremis. It is merely one of many that are now scattered around the world, carrying our full invasion force of 100,000. Can you imagine that, Randall? 100,000 superwomen as powerful as me and their only mission is to extinguish the human race!" Randall started to cry as the full import of what she was saying sunk in. He knew all too well the destruction that Stupendous Girl could cause on her own; the idea of 100,000 women with just as much power ravaging the Earth was too horrible to contemplate. Everything was coming to an end. "I thought that you and I..." he started to say. "What, Randall? That we were in love? I let you into my bed to confirm what I already suspected: that Earth men are as emotionally weak in the face of a Supremis woman as they are physically weak." "What now?" asked Randall. "Now I will kill you, Randall." replied Dark Ravager. "Your superiors are already gone. I ordered the first wave to strike Washington D.C. and New York simultaneously. They toppled the U.N. buildings and ground them into dust in less than a minute. They rampaged through the Capitol Buildings, the Pentagon and the White House, cutting down every living thing with their heat vision. You, I wanted to save for myself. You have been close to me and that closeness has given me such contempt for humanity, that I feel it only fitting to reward you with the most painful, lingering death that I can provide." "Please, Chrissy, don't do this." pleaded Randall. "Do not use that name again!" she shouted, "You will not awaken the 'true' Stupendous Girl with some appeal to feelings that I never had. I will burn your clothes and hair off with my heat vision, then the top layers of your skin, leaving your raw flesh exposed and burning with pain. Does that sound like something I would do if I had any feelings for you?" "No." said Randall, downcast. Dark Ravager made a show of thinking for a moment. "Then I will proceed to your legs. I will break every bone in your feet and legs over the course of a few minutes, using nothing but my little finger. I need to remember to take care not to sever your spinal column as I want you to feel everything. For your hands, I think I will cut the skin on your fingers with my diamond-sharp fingernails and them peel the skin back, exposing the bone. Judicious use of my heat vision and my cooling breath will keep you from bleeding to death and will also induce more pain. Then I will flatten your arm and roll it up like a fleshy carpet." "What to do then, though?" she continued. "I could use my x-ray vision to locate individual nerve endings in your body and use my heat vision as a narrow beam to trigger them, causing you to suffer excruciating pain without significant damage. I could keep that going for days. But how to kill you? How do I deliver the final blow? You are so proud of the brain inside your insignificant human head; I think perhaps I will simply remove your head." With these words, she grabbed Randall's head firmly between her hands. It was like being held in a steel vice and there was no hope of escape. She lowered her head until she was face to face with Randall, their lips barely an inch apart. "Before I begin the circus of pain, there's just one thing I want to say to you, Randall." She paused for a moment and let the sneer on her face and the contemptuous look in her eyes sink in and then said: "April Fool!" She broke into an enormous smile as Randall fainted with shock. ***** "So there was never any invasion?" asked Randall, when they were sitting together on the couch a little later. Stupendous Girl laughed. "Oh no. Just one ship: a transport from Supremis that happened to be passing through. I told them to fly around and make a mess of things for a while without hurting too many people. You should have seen the look on your face! Was this not the most delicious April Fools prank?" Randall laughed nervously. He was going to need some serious drugs to steady his nerves after this day. "You really had me going." he said. Stupendous Girl got to her feet and made for the bathroom. "Time to wash off this horrible makeup and put my normal costume on, I think." "Chrissy," said Randall, "can you do me one favor?" "Of course. What is it?" "Don't throw away the black costume." Stupendous Girl smiled a wicked little smile "Really?" Randall returned her smile. "Really," he said.
