Story Workshop July 2026

The SWM Website is back!

What better way to celebrate than a good old SWM Story Workshop!

In tribute to the online Library's relaunch, the theme is:

"Still got it!"

Story submissions are welcome from everyone, as long as they meet the Workshop criteria:

  • Stories must conform with the theme "Still Got It"
  • Stories should be 1000-2000 words in length
  • Deadline: Stories must be submitted by August 8th

If you're not familiar with the phrase, "Still Got It" could refer to a character who has retained some special quality after a break, or over years. It could be about overcoming obsolescence, or the passage of time. Or a character regaining power, or just getting back into the superhero game after some time away. Or perhaps a realisation that what really matters hasn't faded. Or anything else you can think of, as long as it fits the theme.

Shortly after the deadline, all entries that the SWM Admin Team accept as valid (submitted on time as well as fitting the theme, word limit, and the usual SWM guidelines) will be published in the SWM Library. Every author who submits a valid entry will also get to vote on the topic for the next SWM Story Workshop.

If you've never taken part in an SWM Story Workshop, we can't wait to read your first submission. And if you're an old timer whose been round this block a few times before, we're excited to see you prove that you've still got it (See what we did there ;-) )

So what are you waiting for? Dust off your keyboard and get writing!

Oh, and it goes without saying the usual SWM Workshop rules apply:

  • All characters involved must be 18 or above (especially if things get spicy).
  • All entries must be submitted, by the deadline, in accordance with the SWM Story Submissions Guidelines here: https://superwomenmania.com/guide
  • stories should be originally written for this workshop, or not having been posted anywhere else before the start of this workshop.
  • Individual authors may submit more than one story for this workshop.
  • The SWM Admin team have full discretion to veto a story for any reason (including, but not limited to, a story not fitting the theme of the workshop or spirit of the Library).
