Arion is the my original spelling (pronounced Aryan) before Brantley changed it to Aurean in his writing because he didn't want anyone to confuse Arions and Aryans.
In contrast, my original goal was to conflate the two, given that the Arions are the ultimate supremacists. It's even in their species name: Homo Sapiens Supremis.

Aryan, of course, hasn't always been a pejorative term, but after the Nazi Party adopted it as their rallying cry to dehumanize others, I thought a word that's spelled differently but sounds the same was the way to go to depict a race that looks the same as humans but are really something far worse.

But as the picture shows, the Arions do have their high culture and art. In Arion ballet, that twenty-ton boulder is tossed all about the stage, by hands and feet, balanced and flipped, tossed and caught as the dancer uses it at the center of her dancing, much like rhythmic gymnastics on Earth, which uses hoops, ribbons, balls, ropes, etc.

That would be a fun dance to watch, just not from the front rows. A dropped ball could really hurt if it accidentally landed in your lap.

The Arions perform many of the same moves, except they use either ra huge boulder or a much smaller but equally heavy globe made of dark matter. The hundred-ton class of competition is quite dazzling, given its so beautiful and fluid to watch. The stages are rather difficult to build strong enough to not collapse.

As some one who went to a school with one of the best Ballet Programs in the county and worked on some balet performance videos(which is totally a thing) i am feeling like i missed the boat here
