Sarah Fuller

I'm not sure, "Hey, let's watch Vanderbilt play football!" is something a lot of people have said over the years, much less in this 0-7 season they're having, but Sarah Fuller is traveling with the team today, and reports are she's the only kicker on the roster.  When she plays, it will be an historic first for American college football.  Sounds pretty super to me.

Kickoff is at noon ET, about forty minutes from the time I'm posting this.

Unfortunately, Vandy's team is so terrible that she only got one opportunity to see the field. That was the second half kickoff in which she dunked it short (Looked like it was a planned play.). Vandy couldn't even get it into field goal range as they were blown out 41-0 by the Missouri Tigers (<-My home state by the way )

Stories could be written about how she has to be careful to control her real powers with the eyes of the sports world on her.  It's one thing to win the SEC soccer championship.  As the goaltender, she only has to make sure that nothing gets through that she doesn't want to get through.  Give up a goal now and then, make it look close, but winning at that level doesn't attract too much attention. On a more public stage, she has to make sure that she doesn't accidentally kick the ball out of the stadium.  It's a tricky thing to control that power level exactly right.
