I'd be happy to see Laura in any kind of superhuman role, given she's a natural. She'd mid-30's, but she's kept herself in phenomenal condition, almost superhuman in the real world.
The possibility of her playing an older PowerGirl would be awesome, but if not, hopefully they'll work something out for her to have some role. She likes playing villains.

I can't think of a tighter, sexier costume on the Supergirl show in all of its seasons than Laura as Indigo.
Reign maybe came close, but that's about it.
I don't see Laura as Power Girl - she just doesn't have the voluptuous body for it.
But if Gunn sees fit to cast her, she'll probably play the new Supergirl's mother (either human or Kryptonian) the way Helen Slater did in Smallville and Supergirl. It makes the most sense for the tradition.
Here's hoping that happens, at least.
