Don't know that I'd call that look trendy. Maybe 15 years ago, but not now. That is horrific. Can you imagine them doing that to Superman or Batman? Batman, running around in leather pants and a leather jacket . . .

I wouldn't mind this look for a movie (can you imagine if they put wolverine in his signature yellow spandex for live action?) but for a comic book medium, I wish they would keep the classic :(

I suppose we are the old, grouchy crowd now.

:? Yeah... not really digging it. She looks like she had a wardrobe mix-up with 90's Superboy!

Still, I do kind of like the gauntlets.

I think you just summarised half of FF.net there, buddy.

Maybe the movie is closer than we realize?

That's the first thought that occurred to me when I saw this new design. I thought "Well, they must be doing it for the movie because they are scared, for whatever reason, of having a girl in a swimsuit kicking butt as a superheroine."

Not saying that I agree with it, just that I think something more might be going on behind closed doors (i.e. "If we want to make a WW movie, we have to change the costume. Let's get some support from the comic book as a tryout and see how it goes over.")

DC pulls this same garbage PR stunt every couple of years. Diana will be back in her star spangled bondage gear within six months. tops.

Wow, are we on 1970's flashback week again? The real issue with Wonder Woman is related with the fanbase which got stuck on 1970's, when they realize the actress who played WW on 1970's right now is a grand mother from someone else about the same age which she played WW role would mean something else...

Going ahead is the only one way to go to the future.

The movie hasn't been made and the TV show was decades ago. Right now the new comic book version of WW is a bit disappointing. Actually the costume reminds me a little of the Superboy (Kon-el) costume with the leather jacket. Now WW doesn't get to show off her biceps or her quads.

I agree with most of the comments on here. Giving her a
updated" look which itself is already getting old, shes an amazon, hiding her body and muscles is just dumb. Plus changing her backstory to boot is just over the top.

I have yet to hear anyone say on the sites I go to that they like the new look. The universal agreement is though that this was done so that a movie could be made. I don't get it though? All they did for Spider-Man and the new Superman movie was change the material of the outfit rather than the actual design. You can't do the same for WW?

Somebody did a photo manip with their idea for a WW armor that was modeled on the colors and design of the costume but not spandex. I thought it looked pretty good.

There's a lot of comment on comicbook sites about it being a publicity stunt to generate more sales, given they can't stop publishing the Wonder Woman comic for legal reasons. (Although other fans have suggest the decades old four-issues-per-year clause was bought out a few years back by Warner. True?)
