I posted this in the Discord channel but just wanted to drop our teaser here for SuperJen. After 15 years, I've decided to properly retell her origin with the help of our resident 3D superheroine artist, Gincognifo. I'm sure y'all will be pleased with his rendition of her! Don't have a definitive timeline, but she will be heading down some road (Gum) soon.
This version will be a complete origin this time I promise and will have extra content that wasn't in the original, abbreviated comic. In addition, there will be a few other changes, the first of which involves her changing her branding....

Since people have been asking the question of if it will be faithful to the original, I'm hoping this little sneak peak will help answer that. The left side is the original version drawn by Shade and the right side is that same part of the the story Gincognifo-ized!

Thanks, Agent! It's still remarkable to me how many of the "old guard" still remember that comic when it first came out in 1998 ( I think). TWENTY-THREE years ago....it's crazy! SuperJen was one of the very first things I ever wrote and published in the genre so it's nice to know she's still remembered.

Gin's art looks great! I too am old enough to remember when this first came out. The community has changed so much since then. What really used to require some digging for us, is much more available these days. This panel really triggered a walk down memory lane but I love the SWM is still around without too much change and a lot of the same people.

I long for Yosh's return one day! Serena was truly one of the best things ever seen in the genre when it came out!

The premise of Super Jen is all over the place today and has been for years and years. But when it came out, it was both a needle in a haystack and a breath of fresh air. There were similar tales on Diana The Valkyrie, but those were mostly about growing muscle only, not the full superheroine transformation origin adventure. (The other touchstone from the era was "Serena's Lucky Day" right here on SWM, although I think that was a few years later.) Today that stuff has been so mainstream that My Super-Ex Girlfriend is now considered an old movie...but I couldn't even conceive of Hollywood making something like that back in 1998 when you wrote Super Jen.
