I decided that while surfing the net, I would keep a word document open.
When I came across a picture that I liked, I would right click it and then click on properties. The address came right up, so then I cut and pasted it
into my word document, then cut and pasted it here. Very easy to do actually!

Argo, please re-send. Apologies...I've got something for the StoryBank, and there's more on the way.
But admin isn't picking up his messages.
Can any of the other moderators help?

16,000 words + 5 new illustrations by TGK.
We've been promising this update for a while, and we're sorry it took so long. We didn't write the chapters in the order they appear, so we couldn't send in an update until all six chapters were completed.
From now on, we'll try to update the story more frequently, one or two chapters at a time.
We're already working on Chapter 17 (though we have to settle a little disagreement before we start the actual writing).
Anyway, we're hoping Chapters 11 - 16 will be in the StoryBank sometime next week ... unless admin is on vacation or something ...

In answer to your question, Brantwood -- Ace and I plan to continue the story through the end of Lana's senior year, so we're not quite halfway through yet. We have a rough outline to go by, though we're always brainstorming new ideas. We've already drafted the next couple of chapters, so we hope our readers won't have to wait so long for the next update. And yes, the story will continue to be illustrated.

Chapters 17/18. And we still have two more on the hard drive already done for a couple of upcoming future chapters.

As for your other suggestion ... it's an interesting idea. In Silver Age continuity, it was Superboy's career that inspired the formation of the Legion of Super Heroes a thousand years later. So in our story, Supergirl might have been the inspiration for a Legion of Super Heroines -- with an Ultra Girl instead of UIltra Boy and a female Daxamite instead of Mon-El. The idea is a little out of keeping with the fairly "down to earth" tone of our story, but maybe ace and I can come up with a way to work it in.

Jon gave the story a contemporary setting, but otherwise he followed it very faithfully and I'm quite pleased with the result!
P.S. Chapter 17 of "TSOS" is in the works.

Well, it should be pretty obvious by now that ace and I have a guy picked out for our love-lorn Lana.

Why not hook her with Mon-El and give a "doomed" summer fling for her just after Lex goes to East study and become maybe the most sucessfull college student ever?

At least nobody seems anxious to read the story ... :?
I want more Super Lana. And I want the Superwoman stories as well, because we know already how everything started. I am curious how the Super and Bat partnership are going to start, who is going to be her adult nemesis, where Lois are going to fit on this new universe and how are going to be the League with Lana as the Super person around. And mainly, if Lana are going to meet Kara or not.
Going ahead is the only one way to go to the future.

Ace and I are at work on Chapter 17. We've been sending pages back and forth all week, and hope to have it finished in another week or so.
We've talked about a follow-up story ("The Superwoman of Metropolis"), but Lana and her classmates are only half-way through high school, so you'll have to be patient.
For the record, though -- the story I sent to admin a month ago is a little one-off of my own, unrelated to "The Supergirl of Smallville." I'm worried about admin -- except for a quick thank-you, I haven't heard from him since I submitted the story.
Is there a way to post a WordPad document on the forum? Or can any of the site moderators post to the StoryBank?

I just got a message from ace suggesting that I set up an account at DeviantArt (apparently it's cheap) and start posting my stories there, along with any artwork. Of course, I'd post links here. It sounds feasible.
But I'm lazy. I'm hoping admin will step forward and put the story in the StoryBank, or that a site moderator can take over that chore for him.
admin, where are you?
