I absolutely love this story. A "What If?" style story in which Sheera takes over the power of Mightor from Tor. The story moved at a natural pace and Mightora/Sheera using the power of the club to remove his memory ala Superman's hypnotism was certainly different. I didn't know that that was one of the club's powers but it's possible that it was never explored during the run of the show.

One question though - why did Mightor lose his powers? It's not like he's Thor and has a sixty second limit on them if he's separated from his club. Maybe because someone else activated the power of the club?

Although there was another episode of Mightor where the little boy got Tor's club and yelled "Mightor" but nothing happened. There must be some reason for that situation. I'm not sure what the intent of the writers were for the powers of Mightor.

All-in-all, it was a fantastic tale based on the old Hanna-Barbara cartoon show which used the same music as Johny Quest. It also reminded me of the He-Man tale from the Extreme Strength Yahoo Group in which Teela accidentally gained He-Man's size and strength.

I often thought about doing a story similar to this. The other cartoon from that era that I thought needed tweaking was Young Samson and Goliath. He used the same type of transformation as Mightor except his were through his two magic bracelets that when clicked together transformed him into the larger and more muscular Samson. I figured having a female discovering his secret and using it to become a female powerhouse. Oh well, maybe someone else could write this one up since my time is limited to writing stories.

Anyways, great writing and I hope to read more of your stories.

Thanks for the props. You appear to be a long-time-member-first-time-poster, and I'm glad that "Mightora" was one of the stories that drew you out of the shadows of lurkerdom.

My idea was that the club can only bestow its powers on one person at a time -- so that when Sheera held it up and uttered the syllables "mightor-a," it transferred Mightor's powers to her, leaving Tor powerless.

As for what else the club can do, the answer is simple: It does whatever the writer wants it to do.

I've never seen "Young Samson" (for that matter, I've only seen a few episodes of "Mightor" on Cartoon Network and YouTube), so I'll pass on your suggestion. I do have a few stories in the works, however, which I hope to be sending to admin II over the next few weeks. Feedback from appreciative readers is a great motivator!

Actually, I had completely forgotten about the forums here. I just read the stories and admired the artwork on this site. :) I generally hang out and post at Lingster's Amaz0n site among others.

The power for one individual scenario was as I suspected. Once again the whole story was very nicely written.

From what I know about Young Samson, he didn't have any regular female cast member in the show as he mostly rode around the country on his motor scooter with his dog (which turned into a lion from the bracelets, btw) searching for adventure. It was another H-B production (as was Sinbad Jr. - another absolute favorite of mine from that era which could also use the same kind of treatment as Mightor) with the same music and similar storyboards as Mightor had.

Anyways, I always enjoy your tales on this site along with the myriad of others by the talented writers here. :P
