Submission Formats?

Submission Formats? was created by CavemanNinjaJoe
admin, if some... hypothetical...individual was submitting a story, would there be any preferred formats? I think it says .txt only on the 'Storybank opens its doors' post, but I see a few stories in the bank in html, would that be okay?

Also, this is my first ever post, so.. hi everybody! :)

you can send your stories to : webmaster@superwomenmania.com

One of the many ways you can do it is to send an e-mail message and attach a word file to it. This works very well for admin.

Thanks for the tip ace, but knowing where to send them isn't really the problem. Its more that some of the stories I'm working on are fairly heavily dependant on use of different text formats, and according to the message I referred to before, that's a no-no.

Yet, like I said, several stories do use file types like html, and I'm hoping for a little clarification. :?

It looks like there are a lot of entries in html, but I would prefer not to do that. I don't use any stylized text besides italics... is there a format that isn't html that I could submit in?

All of my files are rtfs

Could any of our distinguished submitters answer this if admin is not around? :)

So far I've submitted stories in .txt and .doc and Admin does the translation to the new format, for the html format I guess one should submit directly in that format.

I usually submit stories in .txt with lines broken at 80 characters. I just submitted a bunch of stuff in .html. I'm not sure yet if that's okay.

Ultimately it's going to end up as html, one way or another.

I think anyway is fine. all non-html stories are reformatted accounding to SWM's "standards" I believe. HTML submissions are pretty much posted "as is" I think....
