New Updates to StoryBank -- 11-Jan-2010
First up, CNJ's inaugural postings (at least here at SWM) of two great ubergal tales, "Crusader of Courage" and "Drunk and Disorderly". Please check them out and send some love his way for a very well-done first contribution. CNJ, we look forward to more from you in the future!
Next up, we have Chapter 20 in the Ace/Argo fan-favorite, "Supergirl of Smallville", this chapter continuing the mystery of the superpowered Suzy Prentiss. If that doesn't get you excited, take a look at the "cover art":

Don't worry about it, now I get to be (equal) first at something! Hooray for meaningless achievements!Technically, however, Caveman NinjaJoe sent these just before 2009 ended, but I forgot to post them upon my return from holiday (sorry, CNJ!).
Er... actually they're the first things I've ever posted. Period. So, enjoy, and don't forget to send feedback!CNJ's inaugural postings (at least here at SWM)

The Supergirl of Smallville was tremendous, as usual. But I really liked Caveman NinjaJoe's additions to the StoryBank, especially Crusader of Courage. Keep up the great work!

The Supergirl of Smallville continues to be excellent. I enjoyed Clark's dream a lot more than he did. I can't remember seeing that particular aspect of supervision before. It makes sense (to me) though. An interesting teaser at the end. I look forward to the next chapter. Also, I did like Perry White's cameo.
I enjoyed both of CavemanNinjaJoe's stories too. I do like stories with a naive superwoman, which Drunk an Disorderly certainly has. And Steve is very lucky (or unlucky, depending on your point of view. I'm sure he thinks he's both). And Crusader of Courage includes a bit of Adam West Batman style narration. How can I not like it?
Thanks to the three authors who brought us these.

I can't remember seeing that particular aspect of supervision before.
Actually, the only time I remember Superman using his super-vision for that purpose was in Alan Moore's "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" (the last Superman story before the post-COIE reboot).
The Prankster and the Toyman are taunting Superman via radio.
"Do you know what radio waves look like?" Superman asks casually.
"No -- why?"
Superman bursts through the wall of their hideout. "Because I do!"
Classic!
Incidentally, that story also featured an appearance by the Silver Age Super-Lana in her yellow and purple outfit.
eavatar, Rich, Caveman, JKIJ: Thanks for the props on Chapter 20. Team Acenaut is already at work on Chapter 21.

I enjoyed the conclusion to the Suzy Prentiss story arc in chapter 20. It felt very silver age the way that it all went down.
Good to see another new author. I liked the naive alien supergirl in 'The drunk and the disorderly'. Good to see more super redheads!

The seeing radio wave was a good one. I've taken a spin on that in the next short and encrypted cell phone signals.
Looking forward to the next issue of ACENAUT Comics very much so! Thanks for sharing! Great art from TGK as always ~ the “cover” ads to the stories ~ love them.
***(Shh ~ can I 'borrow' that one for PSW?)
CNJ: Nice story and characters. Nice descriptors ~ I always like that in writing ~ let me imagine some of it but fill in some of the feel of it. “Allison gracefully removes herself from the now useless hand's grasp” stood out to me in particular. That entire sequence was fantastic. Thanks!
