Just Call Me Suki -- Posted 4/20/11

"Just Call Me Suki" by Berkhart has just been added to the Storybank. It's typical Berkhart fare (lucky us), but she seems to be a tad nicer than his previous characters. Oh well, I'm sure that will change in Part 2.... ;)

Thx, Berkhart, for the contribution!

Sure she is going to change her heart in a matter of seconds. She is just waiting the first reason to destroy everything around her in a heartbeat

Good stuff, Berkhart. I'm sure that somebody is going to regret messing with Suki like that.

I dig this character, and I bet you guys are wrong. I don't see Suki as the type of weak-willed chick that would turn violently abusive just because she gained superpowers. In fact, this is the type of character that I can see genuinely turning into a "true" superheroine as time moves along. I'm sure she'll give genre fans enough super violence to keep pages turning, but I'd bet that her arc bends toward "growing to accept her responsibility to society" instead of "growing to accept her role as dominant goddess."

Maybe I'm thinking about it too much. But Berkhart, take that as a sign that your story was a success. Personally, I can't wait to see what's next.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your messages, and glad you gave the story a read. I have a few more stories mapped out in my head, so Suki should be back in the "near" future.

I hope you're right. It left that impression on me too, that's why I liked this and really kept me reading. I know a lot like evil supergirls and such but when I read those, it just can't keep my attention as much as the good girls.

I really do hope she doesn't turn out evil just because she was used by an organization thats all about profit, too. Even if she is just shown that way, propably over a long time since the media there seem to accept anything the others offer as absolutely true.
Propably it's just their job to see every superhuman as an enemy to normal people, but that would be something to come over, at least if no proves are shown for her being guilty, some guys always will think she is more on the good site :)

She can unleash hell on whoever or whatever that shady organization. And she can always be like Spider-man to J. Jonah Jameson.

I don't know that Suki will be a bad girl (I hope not. her personality didn't really seem suited to it to me), but I think she definitely will end up in a few situations where she has to deal with the good guys and girls in a somewhat direct manner since they'll probably try to capture or kill her first then ask questions. I'll certainly be interested to see how she deals with being seen as a wanted supercriminal.

Suki is a good girl, she never would give attention to the police or anyone who dares face her thinking she is another bad girl with a hell of temper
