1) any update on the next chapter?
2) I can't read the old stories anymore in the link that was hosting all the old stories from the old storybank. Is there anywhere online where I can read the complete collection?

I don't know about your first question, but all the chapters were transfered to the current storybank some time ago, look for them under the letter "T".

This actually seems to be a problem the storybank has with formatting. A few stories are there but have a seemingly dead link. Maybe it was caused by someone's attempt to fix formatting errors in the reseeded stories. I can only guess here, but I had a similar problem when editing an already posted story and fats mentioned some problems with MS Word in regards to that.
Anyway things are going to get better on that front

Six years and over 100,000 words later (98K of which have been published) we have weaved quite a tale. It had originally been planed for about 18-20 chapters, but we kept coming up with new ideas and more chapters. To get to the place that we would like to end up will take at least another 6-8 chapters. We have commissioned about 30 plus illustrations from TGK and have published like 25 of them.
And there in lies the problem. This has been a huge undertaking, and most of the weight of the work of writing has fallen on Argo. My part has been to come up with ideas and I do rough drafts of scenes especially action ones which he cleans and punches up and integrates with his own ideas. He is truly a fabulous wordsmith when it comes to dialog but he is also somewhat of a meticulous perfectionist whereas I tend to be more of a sloppy, Get er done type of writer.
I have had a very rough last year due to personal, work related and medical issues, most of which are now resolved. I don't think the past year has been very kind to Argo either. We last worked on this in May of 2012. Much of chapter 26 has been written and I have a fair amount written on chapter 27.
You only have so much free time that you can use towards writing, and you have to be in the mood to do it. TSOS can be like having to carry a large boulder up a long steep hill, and knowing that you still have a long way to go makes it hard as well. And you can get bored doing the same thing over and over again.
I was a little upset with myself for the way I finished Turnabout. I had the ending plotted out for years, but I just could not get off my ass to complete it. Finally, I decided that I would just get it finished and get if off my back. As I look back on it, I wish that I had taken a little more time to punch it up and polish it a little more. I think I speak for Argo here in that there is no way we would ever want to drop the quality of the work on TSOS just to finish it. Better never to write another word than to ruin it. If he is ever in the mood to work on it again, I would be happy to help him provided I am in a position to do so.
Summer is a good time for me to write here in Phoenix as the Snow Birds are all gone, and it is too damn hot to do much outside. I started back to work a couple of weeks ago on a project with DKC. I have had the artwork from TGK for over a year which is embarrassing. Hopefully, I will get some time this weekend. I need to go into work after I finish this, but I should have plenty of writing time tomorrow.
Maybe we will get back to this in the future, maybe not, but I hope we do as I have a six year old TGK Illustration for chapter 26 that I have been dying to show.

I know writing can be a road- i have that much to do!! but its good road if you let it. So much free time so much effort, but keep at it. your a 100,000 words in-but you already wrote it. Each word can be a seperate line a symphony and it can be a lot of fun writing stories of rommance and derring do. You may know what chapters 26 is about damm if it doesn't suprise you wne its done.
So good luck and if it takes you five more years go for five more years.
