good story.

Thanks for your praise. I already have a good idea where the story is headed, but as happened with so many authors before me, I don't really know how to get there yet.

I'm sorry I didn't post feedback on the first chapter, but I just read Parts 2 and 3 and I really like how your story is developing.
Although I felt that Part 1 was a little "generic," I'm a big fan of stories in which a fledgling superwoman experiments with her newly-gained powers, and there were some nice touches. I especially like the fact that the green liquid's effects are temporary, which opens up some good storytelling opportunities if Michelle's powers start to fade at an inconvenient moment.
Parts 2 and 3 take the story in some interesting directions. There's the developing sub-plot involving the scientist and the possible discovery of Michelle's secret. Her ability to endow others with limited versions of her own power through skin-to-skin contact offers a neat solution to her worries about having sex with a normal partner.
Most of all, I'm impressed by the relationship between Michelle and Amanda. Amanda's reluctance to drink the liquid was unexpected, but you made it seem perfectly credible. And her concerns about the liquid's possible effects on Michelle's personality raise some intriguing questions that I'm curious to see answered in future chapters.
(There's also the suggestion in Chapter 1 that the mysterious plant is sentient and deliberately doctored the glass of water on Michelle's table.)
In short: Strong characterization and solid plotting, with some nice original touches and enough teasers to make me hungry for the next chapter. Well done! It's always a pleasure to welcome a talented newcomer to the "genre."

Indeed. Permanent super powers - or to be more specific permanent invulnerability - make it hard for the character to be brave, not ot mention heroic.

I actually came up with this ability from an episode of The Big Bang Theory where they discussed Superman saving Louis from falling to death just a few feet above the floor. This ability kills two birds with one stone, just like the self-grown costume does.

I think that Amanda choice is so popular because it's a variation over the usual theme: got powers, spread them. It gave some depth to the character and create some very interesting possibilities. Actually I half rewrote an entire chapter of another story after reading yours.
I'm less of a fan of the powers through skin contacty idea, but I admit it's as great gimmick to solve many "cardboard world" issues.

I'm curious to read that story and see how it was affected.

Then I fear you will have to wait, currently I'm struggling with my Workshop entry (by the way I need someone to proofread it). The story in question is a following to my "In the Eye of the Beholder" story. hopefully I will be able to put together a decent multi-chapter work with this one.

Speaking of the Workshop, I really should follow your example and cook up an own entry before continuing Michelle's story.
